 I don’t like getting rid of managers so frequently, but it is clear that it isn’t working under Potter. I also don’t trust us to get a decent replacement, and I’m not sure if they will get more out of these players. I just want us playing with a bit of passion. Anyone who shows passion under Potter is shipped out.

I don't entirely blame the fella...it's not his fault that he's here in the first place but he won't be getting another job at the top level after us that's for certain...he might well end up emigrating back to Sweden after we're done with him.

It's Roeder all over again

 

Wish people would stop bringing Roeder into this (R.I.P).  In Roeder's first season we finished 7th and had the joint best home record in the league. We also played some great football under his management.  Second season it went wrong but injuries played a big part in that and his falling out with Di Canio.

 

 

It's true that we did finish 7th in Roeder's first term but it was a huge anomaly in a very strange season when the Prem table was extremely condensed from 7th to around 16th place. We had a decent end of spring run which propelled us to that lofty position but we were 15th/16th place fodder for most of that season until the final 5-6 weeks.

I had nothing against the man other than he was clearly out of his depth which was tragically proven to be the case in the season that was to follow. RIP
