Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
6 foot 2, most sources say. Taller than Pickford and plenty of other top keepers. Maybe when he had the groin surgery they chopped a couple of inches off him by accident, cause he don't look it.
Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
I'd not seen much of this bloke until he wandered out against Sunderland. The first thing that sprung to mind is that the cսnt looked small for a keeper. First cross I saw come in and it was obvious that the cսnt was fuckin TINY. We have three lily livered centre backs, none of which are particularly dominant in the air and then we go and buy a tiny fucking goalkeeper. This is obvious stuff isn't it? Potter needs to fuck off, he's lost his fucking mind.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Maybe he is and he is just as good as poor old decrepit Dennis. He's looked shocking.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
25 years old and Denmark haven't capped him. That's all anyone needed to know and we still spent close to 20m on the shithouse flapper.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
People are right to give him pelters (he'll probably miss most of the criticism anyway
), but at that alarming rate, that's got to tell people he's clearly not right at all yet. That's worse than Sunday League bad like he's never played Football ever in his life bad. That's semi-retired School Caretaker Dennis who has a glass eye and gout levels of bad which I don't believe is the real Hermansen.

What's the story with Areola, like why isn't he playing?
Well that was obvious, he's played less PL games than he has teeth.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Areola is average and could be replaced
AFTER we had bought 3 midfielders a couple of centre halves & at least one striker under 30

He's faced 12 shots and let in 8 goals.
It wasn't a pressing concern to replace Areola. It's now a pressing concern we get him back into the team.

Potter moronically did a Freddie Potts on him. Play him in most of Pre Season then at the last minute swap them out on the eve of the new season starting. Pissing off everyone in the process.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
There is no need to hide the fact that he is absolutely nowhere near of this level.
What the fuck would it help him to know his players when his positioning and jumping is worse than the women's team.
Had this been at the women's world cup, you lot would have exploded

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
It's not about him being a new player. It's about him having had barely any pre-season training after his surgery and not having been fully fit since December. If it was an outfield player no-one would have expected him to start playing immediately on arrival given these circumstances, so why should it be different for a goalkeeper?

The sensible decision would have seen him work in training for 3 weeks & play against Wolves in the Carabao.
Pretty basic I would have thought
Yeah, like you'd have said the same if we'd have signed Donnarumma.
Best ease him in to our side over a month, because we might destroy him. Like new players would prefer not to play straight away?

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Had a great first 10 minutes at Sunderland and after that the Danish Roberto.
Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
I dont want to keep repeating myself but im shocked hes straight in as first choice. Its fucking out and out stupidity. Without preseason, you might give him a go v Wolves and gradually bring him in for areola.
i know some dont rate Areola , but at least he knows what the 3 idiots kilman, todibo and aguerd are about. Perhaps everyone has been too harsh on Mavvers as we're certainly worse without him.

Has also pissed Areola off obviously
Good work , Potter
Leave off. He couldn't have had an easier debut. He's just shit.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
I stand by the claim he aint fully match fit and that was off the back of carrying an injury at the back end of Leicesters season. Like Rob Green pointed out, he's only had 1 Pre season game and people wonder why he looks like a Sunday League pub Team Keeper. That's not to excuse many of his fuck ups as he made blunder after blunder, but I do think it's fair to point out his injury and match fitness issues and that Potter was insane to chuck him in days after buying him.
He even admitted recently that he hadn't even bothered to check in on him to see if he's OK after Sunderlands humiliation. "That's why I have new Goalkeeper Coaches for". No it fucking aint you si, they train him on the pitch, it's your job to talk to the bloke to see where his heads at, not shirk responsibility. I'm sure you'll now pass the buck on to your new sports psychologist as well you buck passing hiding fanny...

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Is he really? He genuinely doesn’t look it. Stands like he’s about 5ft 9! Absolutely no presence whatsoever in those first two games.
I feel for him a bit, because he’s been thrown into the pits of hell with that back three - easily the worst in the division. But he hasn’t covered himself in glory.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Herman Munster is really up against it from here, and might have to be dropped quick sharp, because EVERY team will have seen how utterly weak he is on crosses - and will batter him physically and mentally with every set piece from now on.
Put somebody taller on him at a corner (not difficult) and he’s screwed. Not tall enough to get above them, not powerful enough to get players out of the way to make an effective punch (in the way that other smaller keepers, like Shay Given, could).
He needs a lot of work.
