Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Is there a new policy at the club saying we should acquire goalkeepers from relegation candidates only? First Leicester, now Hull

Let's stick by him for more than 2 games.
I'm not against his signing, as I think he's an upgrade on Foderingham. But now we have damaged his confidence due to the reasons you have stated, and that of Areola who is a better GK in all metrics except distribution so we have two expensive flop keepers and a third senior who won't ever play. Add to that, there is no longer a pathway for any of our younger goalkeepers.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
He's been called up to the Denmark squad pretty much every time for the last 2-3 years, without ever getting a game. I doubt he will this time either.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Fortunately for him, the next game is only Scotland. Definitely keeping a clean sheet.
Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
I reckon we should buy him a pair of those hands “Brotherly Love” used to wear ( Kenny Everett character from the 80s us old gots mght remember?). He looks too small to be a modern day keeper and like Jesus not good on crosses. Lets give him until Xmas but at this stage he looks well…. Shite aside from his kicking and passing.
Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Two games in and 8 conceded, yes a couple he could and should have saved, but lets face it he's got a shakiest defence in the league, that cant head a ball among them, and the slowest midfield in the world in front of him. Confidence must be on the floor. Chin up son.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Potter stupid to put him into such a high pressure first game like Chelsea…
needed to familiarize with his defensive colleagues…
Potter Out…

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
About the only possible positive spin I can put on things is looking at Szczesny last year. He went to Barcelona having retired, with no training all summer and not having played for months and he was absolute gash in his early games there, getting sent off vs Real Madrid, letting in 4 vs Benfica, etc. but gradually he came good and had a very decent season there.

Re: Welcome Mads Hermansen!
Are we just constantly signing shit players or do they just become shit as soon as they walk through the door ?
We seem to constantly get it wrong and fail to identify the key areas and components that desperately need improving (ie legs in midfield a centre back that can do the basics and dominate in the air plus a centre forward that can stay fit long enough to have an impact and score a few) you can count the number of decent signings in the last five years on one hand.
It patiently obvious the areas that need improving and yet we
don't address them.
Whoever thought Kilman was worth 40 million should never work in football again.
Tactically we are all at sea and we can't even seem to do the basics and sort out our set piece defending.
One such example of this was KWP marking the tallest player on the pitch at a corner last night.
It's abysmal
A culture of calamity.
