Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

I'm not surprised this is going this badly and frankly I don't think I care anymore.

Thundercunt, you also prophesised that Jarrod Bowen was off, and all of your other predictions were being reported on various sources when you 'announced them'.

It's rather sad that you're trying to give the impression that you're ITK when you're clearly not.

Yup, Alvarez out seemed obvious since before the end of last season (yes I did say it several times on here and I am sure it can be found pretty easily) and we all called Wilson as soon as it was confirmed he was leaving newcastle as a free agent. I think we all knew after '32 million' Fernandes was absolutely never coming here and we'll see with Brownhill. It makes no sense we haven't signed him already if that's what was the 'plan' because we needed bodies in weeks ago and it benefits no-one for us to have agreed on the sly and just not announced it- and nothing is a secret in football.

I am really struggling to see where any new signings are going to materialise from TBH, both financially or anyone with anything about them prepared to sign. Even if they did, do i have faith they are the right players? No. It's an horrendous situation. As bad as I can ever recall at the start of a season. This is the most ill equipped squad for the task at hand we have ever, ever started a campaign with in the premier league. Given how much they cost to assemble, it's absolutely flabbergasting. Is it the worst manager? Well, he's got to be in that very bottom tier along with Grant, Roeder and Lopetegui. There are no doubts for me this is the club's worst ever owner, if there were any fleeting ones beforehand. Maybe those old enough to recall the bond scheme properly would disagree and I wouldn't argue with them, as I was too young at the time.

He's likely to be allowed to limp on until January. Frees and loans with low intial fees, heavily subsidised wages and no obligation are all he'll sanction now. Bascially the PL's dregs.

Paqueta to spurs also in the pipeline. 35million  +  5.

It's fucking madness or intentional  sabotage.

Fernandes isn't going to sign for us, and I wouldn't trust anyone's opinion who thought JWP was terrific
That's what I mean.  Typical West Ham, players do well for their clubs at the time, come to us and get ruined.  Not saying he was or would be a world beater but history is littered with players who are decent either before they come here or after they leave!

Light years away from our transfer policy (Sell anyone decent and replace with sub-par punts)

When have they not been light years away from us?
they were pretty ordinary by their standards during the first successful season under Moyes 2020-21. We finished two places above them. They subsequently moved on, we are circling the drain.

I wonder how his draft Email is getting on to Monaco, did he manage to spellcheck it all properly this time?

geezer from Monaco going to Forest now latest rumour. Our low biding backfires again. Sullivan and hos “art of the deal” and how not to do it.

We are in a position where we will have to pay over the odds now we have left it so late and clubs know we are desperate.  Sullivan again

I would pay over the odds and get Bissouma on loan. But we wont.
