Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

May as well get going with this since with Sullivan at the helm, season ticket renewals slow, and the football vacuum to commence, this will soon be all the "news" there is.

Can Potter and MacCauley pull multiple rabbits out of the hat, or will Sullivan 'try really hard' with all of them before grabbing a few aging bargains from Big Willie Salthouse?

The two players I’d like to replace him both seem Chelsea bound one way or another.
Buonanotte & Julio Encisco.

As predicted, as soon as he was cleared - probably after the club spent a fortune on lawyers and experts - he'd be looking  to leave.

Ding next.

Name one game where he absolutely bossed it. Hes been arseing around since day one. But such is the dire state of our super slow midfield, we are hanging on to occasional crumbs of brilliance.

if Liverpool are going for Ghuei and Isak then Elliot could be available.
Talk is Sullivan is thinking Vieira. Also been linked to Wimmer and Schmid in recent days. Also to Aleix Garcia. All could be seen as Paqueta alternatives.

Aleix García is no different to Carlos Soler as far as I can tell...very good technically and can keep the ball ticking but he's about as dynamic as the district line 🤦🏻

Clearly Emerson who has been badly managed by Potter, and Aguerd are trying to force out. Whether Paqueta is doing the same who knows, but Emerson is his best bud, and maybe Potter isn't exactly the harmony-instilling psychology whiz he thinks he is.

Basically Potter has treated Paqueta's best mate like a cսnt. Emerson is off. Paqueta probably thinking fuck this shit....these guys are offering extra dosh, a better run Club, and without this absolute fucktard as a manager.
Not to stick up for Potter too much here but has he really treated Emerson like a cսnt? He’s just on the face of it brought in a new player in that position who has replaced him in the team as happens all the time at all clubs. Which has led to Emerson not turning up for training. It’s been clear he’s for sale all summer but no club wants him. Unless the club are dicking teams around who are interested in him. But that’s the admin side of the club. This just seems like the player being a dick because he’s surplus to requirements now.

Aguerd can fucking do one though if he’s refusing to play. Extraordinarily unprofessional. Speaks volumes no one wants him for an acceptable price either. Stinking attitude. Get both of them out of the club if they are just going to be malevolent.

watch the usual bollocks play out. We'll (supposedly) have a few irons in the fire with bids going in here and there. Paqueta will go morning of deadline day and we'll sign nobody with the old refrain that we just "couldnt get the deals across the line"

bet your shirt this is how it'll go down

I don't think Paqueta is pissed off, but more likely tempted to play in the Europe league. And who the hell blames him instead of constantly be a part of this Circus.

Loses the ball and falls over. Almost got himself banned with his thick as shit family and friends putting bets on him.

Apparantly Villa want him but don’t have any money. Well that’s not going to work is it? How are we supposed to get a replacement with half a pack of juicy fruit and a tube of smarties? Tell them we’ll swap him for Rogers.

No suggestion he's refusing. Suggestion is he's intimated he'd prefer not to given his future is up in the air. That it's up in the air is on the Club frankly. They clearly are at least humouring Villa rather than telling them to fuck off.

a few as opposed to just the two?
If Paqueta is pissed off, the proper question is "What's pissed him off and why?"

Same things that pissed Payet off? Both were happy to come to West Ham on the promise/project they were sold.

Seems like someone is not holding up their end of that promise...again.

Paqueta is a bit of a liability, who costs us as many goals as he scores/creates.

The fact that Villa is the calibre of club in for him is telling.

They just paid out £35m on Todibo, £20m on Diouf, £20m on a keeper, £38m on Fernandes and £17m on this new French kid.
They are investing in the squad.
Are they spending that money wisely? History suggests probably not but let’s be clear, they’re spending now because they fear relegation.

stubbo-admin wrote: 30 Aug 2025, 17:45 Apparently Sullivan is desperate to get a deal done for Paqueta who has not asked for a move. Been a big wage bill reduction exercise this Summer. He's looking at Vieira to replace Paqueta....150k off the bill, 50k on...saves 100k per week.

Fucking Sullivan.

Would be typical Sullivan to "leak" he doesn't want to play to turn the fans against him, don't believe it

Makes no sense.
relegate a club and reduce its value so you can then sell it??

Goose what do they own.? A training ground and a brand name at best. They ain't getting the OS. Nobody in their right mind is buying a Premiership club with no Stadium. (Let alone invest in a League where the richest owners on the planet are unable to put money into their club.) Can't get anybody to buy the Gold shares. The other owners have told him. They ain't putting another bean into the club. Just for him to spunk it away.

Sullivan has always been in the property business. And running us. Was the price of that business. Buy us. Move us. Sell the old ground. Buy the new ground. (When the price is right.) Sell us. Move on. Now that hasn't gone exactly to plan. We have become a burden to him. And every season he keeps us. It's costing him. But fear not. Look who his fellow co-owners are. People who have made their fortunes buying and selling Distressed Assets. And after 15 year. When (Not if.) we drop. Sullivan will still walk away from us. Quids in.
Sorry but that ridiculous. The value is the club and its registration to the PL. That gives access to hundreds of millions in revenue as we’ve seen. The club has one of the highest turnovers in world football.

relegation likely devalues his asset by more than half.

it hasn’t sold because of a combination of Sullivan over valuation and nobody making a serious offer at his price.

On the lower side the club is worth £600m, walking away from £300m because you don’t own the ground or you’ve had enough just doesn’t make sense.
it also makes the thing you’re trying to sell less attractive to buyers.

this is nothing more than Aguerd wanting to leave and Paqueta being made available at the right price because we don’t have the budget for the players Sullivan wants to bring in.
