Next up in the Potter disaster class ...Forest away.

Looks like we'll be bolstered by Fernandes arrival in the squad, but Magassa won't be signed in time.

Prediction: 3-1 Forest (Wood 2, MGW 1; Bowen for us)

Lineup:
Hermansen

Todibo Mavropanos Aguerd

Walker-Peters Fernandes Rodriguez Soucek Diouf

Bowen (c) Paqueta
Usual match day gubbins to follow.

We're moving the ball lit if defence quicker with one less defender to pass to. Fernandes can run, and dribble, and pass and tackle. Paqueta isn't sulking. Forest created nothing. No keeper fuck ups yet. We've face multiple corners and haven't conceded. KWP has looked tidy on the ball, and diligent off of it.

Bad bits: Bowen peripheral. Fullkrug soft as fuck and can't hold it up. Diouf can't get forward as very little support left side. We lack any fluidity. Forest have had most of the game.

Hope for the second half....I'd bring Scarles on, push Diouf up the line, and bring off Soucek or JWP...dropping Fernandes in to that slot.

Maybe then see 10 mins of Summerville late on.

Paqueta is good technically, but is showboating far to much.

A player that has had £85 million bid from Pep and £47 million from Emery isn't good enough for the PL... Righto

We are a fucking awful watch. We are playing fucking Moyesball but without having Antonio up top as an outlet. Fullkrug is fucking dreadful. Fernandes looks a good player though.

Fullkrug should just do what Antonio was told to do, just stay in line with the ball. He’s stuck centrally most of the time and so it’s difficult for anyone to get the ball to him. Very easy for their CB as they just mark him without doing much moving.

antonio did well because he moved around a lot and all anyone had to do is kick the ball long from wherever they was and he’d run on to it. Admittedly you need a lot of energy for that which is why Mickey terrorised teams.

but fullkrug just needs to move more I think.

Fernandes, diouf, walker peters all look decent additions.
So only another 5/6 players needed.

We certainly look better as a back four. And Fernandes has looked great, I'm so pleased with him. That pass for the Paqueta chance was class.

But agree on Fullkrug, he just ain't the one.

It’s a risky, unambitious strategy designed to get a point.

But its working so far, and the packed “parked bus” midfield is working hard to close down space. Can’t fault the effort.

Could definitely say the tactics lack any sort of ambition.

Fernandes having a good debut.

He gets a lot of stick, and has plenty of time to make a ricket, but Mavro looking far more dependable than £45m Kilman (who has also been ok, incidentally) and the fella who looks like he’s playing with a joint on the go and cost £35m for the privilege. At least he’s commanding.

Coaching tip: The team in red are Nottingham Forest. It is not the done thing to keep passing the ball to them.

Not bad for a team obviously low on confidence. Lucas getting caught in possession too often but in the game though.

we’re so poor in possession.
Because we haven't got a winger
It's because he wants Diouf bombing forward and he's covering him when he does

KWP played well this half although I'd prefer he not make tackles from behind in the penalty box.

central so we can see what he can really do.

Soucek, JWP and Guido were incapable of doing what Fernandez just did. No pace between them. And with a back 3 potter has been expecting those runs from the wing backs. Which has not been happening.

what we just saw is why we have been so shit for 8 months.
