Next up in the Potter disaster class ...Forest away.

Looks like we'll be bolstered by Fernandes arrival in the squad, but Magassa won't be signed in time.

Prediction: 3-1 Forest (Wood 2, MGW 1; Bowen for us)

Lineup:
Hermansen

Todibo Mavropanos Aguerd

Walker-Peters Fernandes Rodriguez Soucek Diouf

Bowen (c) Paqueta
Usual match day gubbins to follow.

What Wilson (like Antonio) does is he forces the issue up front, rather than sit tiptoeing around the Box goalhanging hoping for a chance to land at your feet. Can't do that in this League, you've got to always be bang at it.

I suppose the difference between fullkrug and Wilson is that Wilson can make his own goals. He’s not reliant on perfect service. Fullkrug needs to move around more. I’d be interested to see both of them play together though.

Did we play a proper back four and keep a clean sheet? Probably a coincidence.

Great performance from everyone. Hopefully we have seen the last of Potter’s dogshit wingback system. Made a massive difference having an extra midfielder and more width, with our best player in his best position.

Also what an impact Summerville made. Thank fuck he is back, should make the loss of Kudus less painful.

Wilson might be a cսnt. But he’s our cսnt now. And he’s hungry and direct in a good way. How many shots did he have compared with Fullkrug?

That’s a great result. Finished strong. Very pleased with Fernandes. He and Paqueta look like they could form a strong relationship and I assume the badge kissing means he’s staying. He looked up for it today.

Don’t want to say that adding some physicality and legs revolutionised us but we looked a lot better for it. Jimmy was great when he came on too.

Even cսnt Wilson scored. Still a cսnt for getting in Bowen’s way at the end.

I think if there is any chance of getting rid of Fullkrug and bringing someone else in, it's got to be taken

I didn’t even mind Wilson ruining Jarrod’s greatest goal ever.

He screwed it up, sure. But he’s a striker and he’s obviously still hungry for goals. Don’t blame him for wanting to put his laces through it when Jarrod took the ball across him.

There hasn’t been enough “shoot first, ask questions later” at this club for my liking!

And an even stronger case for Fullkrug to be sold ASAP for someone younger and better.

Dinos is our best centre half, no doubt in my mind. He’s earned a starting place.

Fair play to Potter and the team it's been a turgid 6 months but hopefully we can build on this

Both Centre backs in a flat back 4 looked good together today. I never want to see that cunting 3 at the back again! (Or not for a long time).

Great game lads!
can’t fault anyone considering the pressure they’re all under as well!
credit where credits due, Potter finally made the obvious choice in formation that gives us balance and makes our players shine.
also did it convincingly away from home which is really important.

we moan because we know this is in us! Anything less is taking the piss. We don’t want the squad we have, our PL status and our entertainment factor get squandered away.. we are betting than what we’ve seen over the last 8 months.

Lessons of that game.
  1. Pace.
  2. Back four.
  3. Legs in midfield.
  4. More movement upfront (Wilson is our best striker - which is a worry because of his injury record)
All the things many fans have called for for months. Finally, Partridge delivers it after 20+ games.Backs against the wall for long periods. But a good win, that. Can go into the break with some positivity. Need to add a signing or two tomorrow. More pace - especially upfront.

PS - Mav had his best game in a West Ham shirt.

Never been happier to be wrong. Fully expected us to get overrun but we were unbelievably solid. All credit to Potter as well, got the subs dead right and the defence looked far more assured.
