Fullkrug Niclas Füllkrug Subbed

Post iphammer »

I guess he's had a bust-up with Potter at half-time. If not, why was he subbed for Wilson?

Jeez, what a clumsy retard

We never learn. A transfer window opportunity missed to flog him with a bit of resale value when I said we should have cut our losses. I fear we could be lumbered with the knackered Carthorse for the remainder of his 3 year contract. I warned this would happen when we bought him for so much money and on the length of contract we gave him.

Idrissa Gueye – was as it turns out available on a loan deal with the balance payable next year: Italian side Udinesi snapped the young striker up on a season-long loan with an option to buy of just £13.5 million.

I always thought Fulkrug likes to go deep (ooh matron) and have runners go beyond him. Despite his height he's not a target man. More a Sheringham type?

Wilson had the luxury of Summerville also coming on and being on fire so the Forest defence were all over the place by that point.

For a big man Wilson seems nifty on his feet and seems to be able to create a chance for himself whereas the German seems reliant on service in the same way Haller and Scamacca were.  I suspect if Diouf had been crossing regularly Füllkrug may be effective but for a big man he seems to get bullied too easily.  Probably a better option from the bench when you need to go direct for a goal.

Will Wilson be as effective when starting though at his age, and with his injury problems?

I reckon he's always gonna be a better option from the bench.

Wilson has decent hold up play. Get it into his feet, and he will hold firm with his marker and lay the ball off.

Wilson is miles ahead of Fulkruug as a lone striker. He is being bullied out there. He's a big German pussy.

Agree with this.

if Potter starts Wilson and 4 cms against Spurs. We will most likely see Wilson having the same issues Fullkrug had yesterday.

No one creating space in the final 3rd. No crosses to work with.

Wilson showed he’s miles ahead of Fullkrug, who so far is all mouth and no trousers.

Wilson has to start if he’s fit based on his cameos, because he’s a significant improvement on the slow and immobile German.

Fullkrug just isnt a lone striker. He feeds off another striker making space for him. Totally isolated yesterday and his touch was off. He looked really sharp playing alongside Bowen in preseason but the Premier League is different level and he just isnt involved enough. He was waving the team up the pitch as he was desperate for others to help with closing down space. Just running around like a headless chicken watching defenders pass it between themselves is pointless.
What he does possess is a great shot. If he can  find space then he will score. Others need to make space for him, he doesnt have the clever movement that Wilson showed to lose a marker. Fullkrug will be targeted as a threat and marked.
I'm still hopeful we will get 10+ goals from him but he will need us to be on top in games and not be sat back trying to counter.

Wilson is showing he can play the lone striker role. With Bowen generally more effective out wide, this might be better for us although I expect if we overplay him then he will break.

Don’t think there is any way we can play Wilson AND Fullkrug
We end up short in midfield & suspect they’d get in each others way
We want to have Bowen Paqueta Summerville Fernandes & Magassa on the pitch so that means one up front
Hopefully yesterday convinced Potter that a back 4 suits us better  especially to add that midfield body

I accept service is poor, but for fuck's sake, back into the man and plead for the ball.

At the very least, run into space, to give options.

We have seen nothing like that from Fullkrug.

He lacks the hunger, that driving desire, to make it in this tough league.

To be honest, he's a bit shit.

It will be interesting to see the dynamic between him and Wilson who impressed when he came on and will now push him for his place.

Will this competition to start bring more out of him ? will he sulk if Wilson takes his place ? or could they even form an unlikely partnership in the mould of a Hartson / Kitson combo.

Its all very well throwing the toys out of your pram and talking the talk but he now seeds to walk the walk and become a positive influence for the good of the team.

He spent the whole game with his back to goal. We gave him nothing to work with in all fairness.

we do need a player more in the mould of Antonio who can create on their own. Wilson more likely to do that but when he came on the game was opening up.

not going to knock the player as we’ve seen it all before recently with the likes of Haller and Ings. All are good finishers but if you aren’t giving them chances they are offering very little.

He's pissing me off. All talk, he got away with his outburst on TV last season and now he thinks he's running things. Even if he stays, I think we'll get someone else in today and Potter will fuck him off.

Wilson showed the mobility needed from a central striker but obviously keeping him fit is an issue
The only out for Fullkrug is a possible loan to a German club where we subsidise wages or a free transfer

He was shit today. Yet many good performances today versus Forest.

Movement? He's a statue. Burly, but so timid in the challenge.

I think Steiden has saddled us with a turkey.

Who took our team talk in the circle before kick off?
Who scored a goal, just disallowed for an offside?
Did Wilson have a shot on target?

Pointless discussion who's best, both are meaningless transfers

I noticed that aswell why was he doing the talking before kick off and not our captain ?

Because he's a big mouth who thinks he's the bollocks. So good he got rightly Subbed off at Half Time. 🤣🤣

i told people that his ego is through the roof. I’ve seen it before with these guys. He thinks he’s some amazing tactician that if only people realised his brilliance he’d be managing Barca or something.

This guy has no right to have any kind of ego at all given the last 8 months.

So what happened when I called it out at the time he was doing all the Media Circuit for 18 long months (I wonder why..) was him believing his own hype. And all the pundits and presenters alike lapped it right up thinking they had some coup star pundit sign-up having just left a Club like Chelsea educating them all on how to play the fucking game.

It also didn't help that he was a Corporate wet dream with his super woke attitude that made it all look like a polished turd. But a massive huge stinking turd rolled in glitter he most definitely was.

Who remembers that cringey High Performance interview of his "learning" from all his past failures and vast experience at managing in the Swedish Leagues.. 😵

The longer he was out of work, the more magnificent he apparently became.

And the biggest con-trick of all pulled by Potter and his Agent was convincing us to give him a lucrative long 2 and a half year contract for rewarding his past huge failure at Chelsea. A place where he also won a big fuck off contract based on next to nothing but talking a brilliant game and having a soppy makeover thinking he was the man from Milktray! When in reality he's about as good at management as a milkman.

The sad thing is most of the prem teams are now run by serious footballing people. No one was trying to touch this guy with a barge pole. They didn’t rate him. Even Sullivan actually didn’t want him. Only people who don’t actually know football wanted him (Todd Bohley and Karen Brady).

sullivan is fiercely loyal so this whole thing is going to land on Brady as she brought him into the “mob family”. She’s going to have to tell him it’s not working, not Sullivan. I bet it was Brady that pushed to give him the full contract as well.

in fact, the only reason the guy is still here is because Brady brought him in. I’ve never heard of a manager with his win record last as long as he has at a top flight club. Moyes won something, kept us up etc.. to give him the credit to go 5 months with crap results. And even that was shocking. What we are seeing here in just bat shit crazy.

Sullivan must be the butt of every joke when PL clubs meet up. It’s just incredibly stupid management of any business.
