WHUFC West Ham vs Spurs | PL | 13.9.25 | Predictions and Match Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

With the 'interesting' football hiatus that International Football brings, figured I'd get this match thread up.  The result against Forest makes this game in some ways less significant (as the clock will have been reset on Potter's tenure) but also more interesting as there is a modicum of form to take into the game.

Fullkrug should obviously never be allowed on international duty again, what with it being an injury magnet for him, but that aside, as of now there are no new injuries.  Rumours of a Summerville injury also appear unfounded.

So from a lineup perspective, I'm expecting something like:
Hermansen

Walker-Peters  Mavropanos   Kilman   Diouf

Ward-Prowse Magassa

 Bowen     Soucek   Fernandes

Paqueta
Subs: Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Todibo, Igor, Rodriguez, Irving, Guilherme, Summerville, Willson

Left out: Earthy, Marshall, Potts, Scarles.
Prediction: 1-2 Spurs (Muani, Kudus;  Bowen for us)

Potter won't be gone for ages.

And even if he is, these shitcunts will replace him with Ron Atkinson's rotting corpse. (Assuming he's dead)

Potter is surely dead after that abomination. If he possibly could have got it wrong today he fucking got it wrong. Shit fucking lineup, no fucking striker at home, shit fucking tactics, didn't change the tactics when it was FUCKING OBVIOUS we were gonna concede from a corner, waits until we're fucking nowhere to make changes and brings all the wrong players off. Absolute cսnt. If this bloke tried to fucking top himself he'd accidentally neck a load of vitamins and fucking live longer just to fucking piss me off.

The board being hopeless scum is a separate issue, this today is 100% that useless fucking prick Potter's fault and it was fucking obvious stuff. Fuck off Graham you useless waste of fucking worthless brummy spunk.

Oh and 25 million on a GK that is not fit for purpose, 40 million on a CB who is not fit for purpose.

We still look too slow as a team imo

He coaches a team that shit themselves at every corner. Moyes was diabolical at some things, but we almost never conceded from a corner. What the fuck is that all about? He’s supposed to understand football but can’t address that glaring issue.

We had proper leaders then, daws oggy zouma rice.

this shower of shit now are wankers

So who is to blame for identifying the need to replace these shower of shit wankers?

Ah listen I agree with ye. There’s loads to blame, the board are cunts the mangers a coward and our centre backs are all shite

Soucek being sent off killed the game but we looked fragile defensively all game.

KWP was our best player, Diouf tried and competed. That was about it.

Like I say, relegation fight already started. We dont look up for it.  We fell short in the transfer window, the striker situation a case in point but central defence and midfield still an issue.

In short, I think we’re fvcked 😟

The sending off was unfortunate and maybe up to that point, 1 or 3 points was probable.

Had enough now.
Times up for Potter!
Sullivan will dither for months.
Not that he would go for Nuno in any case as he's a fool who would rather go for someone like Dyche, but Nuno will probably be employed by then.
He'll see it that he tried to go down the "progressive" route with Potter as he did with Pellegrini and it didn't work.

Maybe playing Paq up front instead of midfield really fucked us here. Couple that with JWP and soucek together and in midfield and we sort of lost control.

New midfield guy isn’t up to speed with this league either so I doubt he dislodges JWP.

I dunno what to say anymore with us. Sometimes you see good things and then it’s just pure disappointment.

Leaving a man at the back post is diabolical marking, caused by the defensive set up, not a result of an accumulation of corners.

The speed at which we implode is fucking laughable. Fucking embarrassing. Zero backbone like old cock weasel in charge.

Starting no centre forward today was criminal. Assuming he stays, he’ll blame the formation and revert to good old 5-3-2 next week, the pillock.

I've seen Sunday league teams defend corners better, no one should be unmarked on the back post.

who are gormless idiots just standing there watching the players come off?. When you've just lost 3-0 at home you hop it, not stand there taking in an atmosphere which is akin to a sealed tomb. Guess they are American tourists still trying to figure out why the clock ticks up and not down.

Paul Robinson
Former Tottenham goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at London StadiumGraham Potter has got problems. I was surprised when they signed Mads Hermansen. He was susceptible last season and watching him today he has not left his line once. You need help from the goalkeeper and that has not come from Hermansen.

Well wasn’t that fucking awful. They were taking the piss in the end. If some of our players were playing for the 4B2s they would have had the most successful passing rate. Is there nobody in this team that can pass the fucking ball.

Yes, no natural leaders.

Almost without realising it, for a good while there we had several players that the others could look up to and draw strength from when the going got tough. We've got a few decent individual players now, but I don't really see anyone filling those leadership roles at present.

Agree to a point 360 but the GK is weak on crosses to the point where he only came and got a fist to one cross. He just showed what hes good at which is shot stopping.

Magassa aint that quick but looks strong and should improve but as you say we can never start games with JWP and Soucek ever again. But Potter will Im sure.

Relegation looks a strong possibility at this point
