Apparently Emerson Palmieri won 8/8 ground duels at the Bernabeu vs Real Madrid last night.
We sold him for under £1M and needlessly splurge around £20M for a replacement we really didn't need whilst not addressing other areas properly like up front and we wonder why we have financial issues in the market. Resorting to an injury prone unfit Freebie near the end of the window. Classic example. It's just weird. The only thing I can think is that he chucked a wobbler like Aguerd and Alzarez and refused to play for us any longer and so had to go. It was him that wasn't turning up for training wasn't it. Now I'm not going to speculate who's fault it is that a few players seemed disenfranchised at the club over the last 12 months, but it's extremely unprofessional to down tools like these three seem to have done whatever the circumstances, whether it's that you don't like what's happening or if the club isn't playing in Europe any longer or you're told you're not in the plans.
It's very unusual and all 3 (that we know of) at the same time. Why..

There's a herd of elephants rampaging around the boardroom but nobody sat at the top table can see them.

Re: Weekend football
Mikel Arteta says the "finishers" in his Arsenal squad could be "more important" than those in the starting line-up this season - a concept he says he has taken from rugby union.
that was my impression of our Forrest win.

Re: Weekend football
The good body of evidence we see of Aguerd in a West Ham shirt, in which he was a complete disaster, coupled with the fact he TWICE refused to play for the club under different managers, and some of you are still banging on about him?
The guy was not only rubbish for us, but to refuse to pull on the shirt on 2 separate occasions, he should be vilified, yet some on here want to make excuses for him. Mad.

Re: Weekend football
Aguerd could play every game for Marseille, he will still always butter utterly shit, spineless, and not at all cut out for the premier league.
As for his goal. Hardly. A bigger deflection you will not see

Re: Weekend football
Potter didn't even want have Marshall or Fearon on the Bench, preferring instead to chuck in yet another past it old biddie 3rd Reserve Keeper who is didn't want to orginially keep.
Fucking hates the Academy this cսnt and much prefers Dads Army instead.

So West Ham for them to go on to have great seasons after us.
The thing I don’t understand is why the club lets a manager bomb out very valuable players. Especially when the managers record
is so shit you’d have to be a bit mad to trust his judgement on anything.
sullivan must be thinking how does it make sense that a big team and decent manager at Marseille would play players we discarded in the CL?
I suppose both Emerson and Aguerd must have had personal issues with Potter. I can’t understand it otherwise.
Could chuck in Alvarez too, quickly pushed out the door after a rocky relationship back end of last season. The Club probably got seduced by his soul searching Podcasts believing he truly learned from his Chelsea experience, when in actual fact he learnt bugger all.

Funny how Emerson couldn’t get into a bottom 3 PL side but is now starting against Real Madrid in the Champions League…

All true... however the £200m they spent on the top end of the pitch will mean they'll be at least 20 points ahead of us come May
