Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
McKenna would be mad to come to us at this point in his career. Any young manager on the up would be crazy, if they've done their research or due diligence on how fucking terribly we are run under the current regime. Of course that wouldn't stop Sullivan dripping outright lies into their ears about budgets and transfer targets and things like that.
I think this job would chew him up and spit him out and wreck his reputation. It needs someone with some experience to see through or at least roll with the bullshit and realise their biggest challenge is trying to manage the owners and their meddling as much as (and in order to be) winning football games.
If he goes, best hopes are Mourinho or Nuno. No chance of Mourinho given Sullivan won't have anywhere to hide as Jose will 100% get all us onside and against him if it came to it. To add the skinflint won't want to pay half the wages he'd want. He is FAR too cowardly and cheap to get him in. Nuno is probably the most attractive realistic option while he's out of work, otherwise it's Dyche or Cooper which doesn't bear thinking about.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
If they appoint McKenna, they’ll have to buy out his contract. So, if true, it will be Kretinsky behind that, not cheapskate Sullivan.
McKenna’s a good young coach. But he’d have his work cut out keeping this squad in the Premier League.
Mourinho keeps us up.
With this squad, almost everybody else is on a sliding scale of risk.

I think this is a total Sulley myth picking Fan favourite managers or even one's that many want to see manage the Club.
Grant
Allardyce
Bilic
Moyes
Pellegrini
Moyes again
Lopetegui
Potter
Only Bilic as an anomaly appointment did he reluctantly go for Bilic, who he soon fucked off unfairly when you put in to context the new nightmare Stadium move he had to endure managing around. He appeased the Fans once and as soon as Bilic spectacularly embarrassed him regarding the Dildo Brothers episode, Sullivan couldn't wait to get rid of a true genuine Fan Favourite. That was the exception to the rule though for Sullivan on that basis. He fucking hates dealing with a fan favourite Manager because he knows he couldn't stand them taking the Fans side agreeing with us and potentially calling them out for all their nonsense.

We are even prepared to take on a risky head case like Di Canio just as long as the appointment was very 'West Ham like'.
Not that I think it would be a total disaster which it is now under the current mind numbing Pathetic One.
That would probably be a disaster but fun. Those players not committed would be seeking transfer requests in January..lol

However he is a very loose cannon and could turn on the owners very quickly, also prone to outbursts of fascism.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Honky, that's mad, was talking about that earlier with someone.
I'd be 100% behind that. Would be one of the few things that would make it worthwhile going over there, it'd get the crowd involved, would make it proper feel like West Ham again, which to be honest, I'd bite your hand off for at the moment.
We're going down under this current manager, Parlo would keep us up, and it'd be fun for the most part.

Nuno's win percentage is pretty good even at the spuds it was 53%
Think Sullivan will move quick on him
Think he had so little invested in Potter as it was not his pick.
Paying Potter off and his staff will hurt the little bastard but it will ease the pressure from him and he might even then push the blame on Brady and persuade her it's time she left the football business

Nuno as outspoken as Mourinho?

Is Nuno any less a risk to the board than Mourinho? He seems
Perfectly comfortable announcing his issues with the owner at Forest, even if it’s done with more subtlety than Jose.
Sullivan will be looking towards Dyche as a safe pair of hands, as a manager with experience and a lot less maintenance and worry.

We can't keep getting spannered by 3 goals or more every fucking game, Potter has lost the plot, that's if he even had a plot in the first fucking place?
I would also take Moyes back!
Then again I never wanted him to go, I know I was in the minority but the minority have been proved right.

And more importantly, couldn't control him and would be too afraid of what he'd say in Press Conferences about them.

Given that we have this group through to at least January - and probably beyond for 99% of the squad, in IMHO there are only a few available managers capable of keeping this lot up. And, let's face it, Sullivan is simply not going to headhunt a manager who is under contract - he has never done that in all of his time in football.
Mourinho is one of the only options and, for me, is the no-brainer choice if we want to remain a Premier League team next season. You could take a riskier punt with a couple of others who might get the structure and approach right - Carrick or Terzic, perhaps.
But Sullivan does not have the bollocks to employ Mourinho, who would see in five minutes how badly run the place is. I really don't see any of the usual suspects (beyond Mourinho) being capable - including Nuno (who has failed more often than succeeded). Dyche is a decent fella, but he's also an admission that you could well spend next season in the Championship.
Not to mention Mourinho would call it out in public and shame Sullivan, and then be fucking ruthless on his way out. Sullivan's worst fear.
He'd take no shit and sort out the back 5 though, make them nasty and get some shithousery going which is what we probably need and play to the strengths of out attacking players.
Pipe dream. Will never happen. If Potter goes Nuno is the best we can hope for the way things are.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Nuno also mutually agreed to leave Wolves (a gentle way of sacking someone) and got sacked from Forest, regardless of circumstances, those are the facts.
That said, you cant then suggest Carrick, who has had 1 job in the Championship, and got sacked from that. Nuno would without question be a better appointment than him. One thing I would say, Nuno does have the gumption for a job like ours. Wouldn't be my ideal choice, but probably the best we could expect given where we're at.
Also, those thinking this board would appoint Jose need their heads testing. He is far too outspoken for them, Sullivan is getting enough pesters, you think he'd risked his manager giving him some more? No chance.
What a mess we're in. Fucking hell.

It's pretty self-explanatory. In European football - which is really all that matters here - he has failed at more clubs than he has succeeded at.
He was gone in a year at Valencia and Porto. Gone in four months at Spurs. He did well at Wolves and Forest.
