Brady to resign?

Post RootsRadical »

Rumours abound that after she met with a fan group yesterday, she is going to resign.
Hard to believe but Hammers News are reporting it.

Let's be sensible about this.
This is the "women in business" champion who was amongst the last to resign from Arcadia following Philip Green's alleged racism, physical and sexual abuse issues.
This is the business genius who claimed to play a big role in stabilising West Ham's finances. Reality being that sacking a few minimum wage cleaners and tea ladies didn't cover her inflated part time salary. The real saviour was the exponential growth in TV revenue that coincided with the GBS arrival. I am unaware of our "brand development" under Brady matching our peers growth in revenues from the middle east, far east or Latin America. You do see West Ham shirts all over the world but they are usually on the back of someone with a cockney accent.
This is the business genius who did the "deal of the century" in securing the London Stadium then has spent an absolute fortune in legal fees bickering with the stadium owners.
She thinks she is doing a good job.
She thinks those campaigning against her are replaceable customers.
She won't walk away from her cash cow.
Protest, March, Boycott. The only way she will go is if she is forced out and highlighting her incompetence in the public domain is the only way she goes.
Brand Brady is still OK in the general public domain. If the spotlight goes on her as an absolute fraud she will want the noise to die down so will come out with a mealy mouthed departure (See the exit from Arcadia for the script).
BS Out!

All that extra revenue for the government would probably cover the cost of running hundreds of empty repatriation flights to France.
It will certainly cover the cost of all the ones that aren't happening.

The scary thing is, in their deluded world, her and Sullivan really believe they have done a great job in delivering that stadium to the fans. Neither of them have an ounce of self awareness, which is clearly evident given the clobber Sullivan leaves the house in. They honestly think, we have a stadium to rival the best in the PL, when most of the grounds in the Championship are better than that shithole.

I'm a bit worried about defending the indefensible here. But, as far as I understand, she is in charge of business matters. I would have thought the stadium deal was her crowning glory from a financial point of view - literally everyone who isn't West Ham thinks she's pulled the LLDC's pants down. I don't agree with her scrapping concessions but she's broadly got away with it from a PR point of view and, as long as the stadium keeps getting filled, will justify it from a financial standpoint.

And yes, she's a not my cup of tea, but the things that piss off most of us are down to Sullivan.
i think her chickens are coming home to roost, actually.  Whilst what happens on the pitch will always be the main driver, the matchday experience is diminishing rapidly imho. Yes, the stadium does get filled, but there were hundreds of tickets available on the exchange for Saturday, thousands of STHs have not renewed - a number that's only going to get bigger and which will become material as the mythicallly huge waiting list dwindles. With the price and quality of food and drink, 8 foot walls appearing overnight, mindless DJs and noisy and brainless kids tv presenters masquerading as pitchside announcers, I find it exhausting and irritating now.

And the atmosphere....? Oh the atmosphere...

She's not a football fan so doesnt understand that bigger is not always better

If this government financial black hole is real, why doesn't Brady go to the government's holding agency (stadium owners) and offer to have the club seek out and secure a stadium naming sponsorship deal in return for a renegotiation of the revenue split?

All that extra revenue for the government would probably cover the cost of running hundreds of empty repatriation flights to France.

Sticking to financial viewpoint, although the stadium deal looks attractive from a rental perspective to what degree does it limit the club’s ability to generate the additional revenues. Having the second highest attendance but coming in 8[sup]th[/sup] or 9[sup]th[/sup] in matchday revenues is revealing. And to what extent are the club’s very modest commercial revenues limited by the structure of the deal?

Was placing all the emphasis on the headline rental numbers a short-term win that obscured the longer term income gains that might have been available?

And I guess all the shit about scrapping concessions etc will have been right out of her and her team.

Don’t think that Sullivan would have the drive or energy to run the club without her, she’s been shovelling his shit and wiping his arse forever, I’ve thought for a while that she’s the weak spot that should be targeted, another step in the right direction if it happens.

She has worked for the same employer for 30 years
To portray her as some business genius is laughable
I understood she is on well over £1m as a part time CEO & is part of the worst management team in the Premier league
Would you hire her to run the company you work for?

Until her & Sullivan go we will always be chronic underachievers

As Meldrew would say, “I dont believe it” and even if it were true Sullivan would appoint Dave Jnr or Jack to replace her because you dont need expertise, qualifications in the role. Brady was unqualified in the world of football and proved it.

And im not sure we will, so business as usual, Hammers chat normally the better source when it comes to YT given the amount of click bait some of the WHU channels put out, but i reckon on this occasion they are misinformed, misheard or someone's pulling their plonker!

Happy to be wrong!
