"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Another excellent Baker Mayfield performance, too. Such an underrated QB.

What could have been. We've had several opportunities to draft and sign that bloke. I swear he's the QB we should have gone after years ago, because everything about him has the "fuck you" needed to succeed in New York stamped all over it.

There are more talented QBs out there, of course. But the guy is willing to die on the field to get a win. And the rest of his team responds to that. He's the antithesis of some other QBs we've had in recent years.

49ers had another good win, right in the last seconds.  Without all their stars also.

There were quite a few really good/crazy finishes to games yesterday.

The parallel’s of supporting the Giants and West Ham are terrifying.!Ownership that are holding on for dear life. Working on ideas that are decades out of date. And a nightmare scenario. Where the idiotic offspring may someday inherit the whole car wreck.! The only sliver lining is the NFL will eventually boot them out.? Where’s West Ham will go out of business. And hopefully take the remaining SPIVS with it. Anyway.

Jets gonna Jet.
That was a tough end to that game.

I was hoping they were going to hang on, but it seems as if a score can be summoned when required a lot of the time.

Jets have been involved in two absolutely stonking close games, and one utter blowout, so far this season.

But we’re now 0-3 - and with a tough set of games to come.

Its the 12th time the Jets have started a season 0-3. More than any other franchise in history.

Jets gonna Jet.

Fucking hell!

What odds do you think I’ll get on a West Ham relegation-Jets winless season?!

This is all just depressing. Does anybody have any morphine?!

Looks like the Seahawks are going to run up a cricket score against the Saints. Already up 14-0 in the first seven minutes. Us and New Orleans for the first overall pick next spring. Race to the bottom.

Mad couple of minutes. Cleveland win it on a field goal against Green Bay. And the Rams blow it on a field goal block and run in for the Eagles.!

An injured QB for more than a few weeks is just a season ender as well, unless you're the 2009 Patriots or absolutely stacked on oline and skill positionsm or INCREDIBLY lucky with a backup who just performs miracles.

It's one of a few positions where if your starter goes down and is a key player, then you're just done. Thinking Aiden Hutchinson for the Lions last year.

He'll be missing for a week or so now, but Fields is already an interesting Jets QB.

Played really well on his debut against the Steelers. Threw three TDs, including long to Garrett - which is something we haven't seen much of in New York, and ran the ball well, too.

Then he follows it up with an abysmal effort against the Bills before he got taken out with concussion.

As well as he played against Pittsburgh, he was that poor against Buffalo. I guess that is what we have signed. I'm just hoping that Glenn and others can find more consistency from him over time.

It'll be rough if Daniels joins the growing list of injured QBs. Although the early signs seem to be that it's a knee sprain/twist, so he should be able to avoid surgery. Unlike Joe Burrow, who is now out for three months (most of the season), alongside Brock Purdy, Justin Fields (thankfully "just" a concussion, so he'll miss one or two weeks) and some of the back-ups who got knocked about in pre-season.

A lot of QBs going down - and we've only just finished week 2.
