Potter 11thLampard lost 23 out of 84 in his first spell, then 8 out of 11 after Potter. His first spell was during the Abramovic regime, so his 4th place finish and FA cup runner up were pretty mediocre for the club at the time. They won the Europa League the season before he came and the Champions League the season he got sacked.
To be fair he has done a very good job at Coventry in the Championship. Taking over a club in 17th in late November and leading them to 5th is great, very similar to what Carrick did at Boro when he started, although he didn't progress from there at all.
He did well at Derby to get the job...
He was a complete novice at Chelsea and his first season was decent for a new manager, he then didn't get the signings he wanted (Rice being the main one) but the ones the club wanted and it went wrong from there.
He was shit at Everton
Doing well at Coventry, he's not second rate.
Not saying I want him, but he's doing well as a young manager.

We're all over the place. It's exactly the same situation. What makes you think Lampard would come in and do better than Potter with the same tools?
Chelsea made same mistake in appointing fatty after Potter. 1 win in 11. I don't want us doing the same, and there's absolutely no romance in him coming back to us, like there was with him and Chelsea.

What you on about Trundle?
You seem to be getting all confused about who replied to you.

On 6 April 2023, Lampard returned to Chelsea by being appointed as caretaker manager until the end of the 2022–23 season, following the dismissal of Graham Potter.[sup][295][/sup] Chelsea's form dropped after Lampard took over and produced a first bottom-half finish since 1996 and a record low tally of points and goals scored in the Premier League era.[sup][296][/sup] In terms of winning percentage, Lampard also had the worst record (9%) among every Chelsea manager who had led 3 or more matches, achieving just one win in his 11 matches in charge.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
I would be amazed if Lampard would ever contemplate managing us. He is a Chelsea man through and through now and some of our moronic 20 stone, pot bellied supporters still take pleasure from calling him "Big fat Frank".
Not that I would want him here anyway. He's a shit top flight manager. Much like Parker his management level is the Championship.
It will be Nuno or Dyche replacing pathetic Potter when he eventually goes. I wouldn't rule out Steve Cooper either, given Sullivan's MO.

so Nuno is out of the question because it’s just too sensible a choice for them.
I think it has to be someone who has in the past had success but is clearly not wanted by any other club for pretty obvious reasons. Sullivan likes a sort of “fixer upper”, I feel like he wants to say I saw the potential when others didn’t. And it has to be a yes man. Someone that will never embarrass him. And obviously out of work.
Nah it will 100% be Nuno if he's still out of work if/when Potter goes. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sullivan has already said to him 'Just hold on until Sunday.'I hope so.
I think he's exactly what Sullivan would want, because he thinks we will find it more palatable than Dyche. Which to be fair is true.

Frank Jr may have been one of us once, but he is no longer and will be a Chelsea fan.
I could well imagine some of us could put water under the bridge, but he’s not the answer to our issues, not least because he’d have to manage a circus above him, and I don’t believe he’d be cutout to manage the team. If we struggled in the way the team are now, the vitriol towards Frank would be significant.
I don’t like him personally based on what I’ve seen and read, I don’t want him and I thankfully don’t think it’s likely.

As much as it would have been a good fit for us at this moment in time, Sullivan was never going to hire someone as dangerous to his regime as Mourinho.

Was never coming to us in a million years anyway. Sullivan will be doing cartwheels if Jose is off the market because he's far too much of a coward to employ him.

The fat cսnt is an absolute second rate manager and would be absolutely hate from the moment he rocked up to the moment he got sacked with the club likely in the championship- his level.
Surely fatty would have the sense not to take it even if Sullivan tried to offer it to him?
What makes him a second rate manager?

If Mourinho was a player, Sullivan would be all over this.
Past it, been there and done it, living on previous glories. Potential to get fans off their seats and engaged again. Big name still in football, who will generate extra interest in the club.
This gives me a very slim hope that it may actually happen.
