Re: Happy Birthday Bonzo
Can't speak highly enough of Bill. Had the good fortune to meet him a couple of times, and he's a gentleman as well as a legend. Seriously tough mentality, too.
The way certain people at the club treated him on the way out the door was disgraceful. Especially as he retained a sense of dignity throughout.
Happy birthday, fella. Proper West Ham.

PB
We have had far more skillful players than Bonds over the years but when it comes to heart and commitment, there is no one to touch him.

Bill’s before my time, but I understand the administration. Is he the greatest of all great Hammers? The feeling I get taking to people is that he surpasses Moore, Hurst, Peters, Brooking and Devo for those lucky enough to see him play.

He is the reason I started supporting West Ham
I will wish him Happy birthday anyway
Still reckon he’d do a better job than JWP & Soucek

I was at that game, funniest bit was Bull trying to be sly and coming unstuck as Julian still stuck a boot on him as he was dealing with Birch
