It’s another nutter with easy access to a gun
There are crazies of all stripes who can easily deal with their imagined outrages by getting their hands on automatic weapons and killing people
Given the political temperature at the moment there will be more people killed
Its probably too late in the MAGA land where people believe they still live in the days of cowboys & Indians to restrict guns
America is a crazed cesspool & it’s not getting better

The alleged gunman, a former health policy analyst for the California Indian Health Board, posted on X the day before the shooting, seemingly wishing for Trump’s death, the outlet reported.
“Where is a good heart attack when we need it the most??” the post read.
"Please Join in my thoughts and prayers for the physical demise of our fearful leader.”“Where is a good heart attack when we need it the most??” the post read.

Don't worry, Fauxstralian will be along in a minute with his gas lantern to claim it was yet another Right Wing nutter.
As a weird side note I used to date a yank bird from Roseville not far from there.

All I have said is there is no concrete evidence as to Robinson’s motive beyond his disgust at Kirk’s contempt for trans people
Does just that make him one of the vermin left as Trump would call him?
Thanks for your respect for free speech & opposing opinions
Speak for YOURSELF M Dog
You are almost as presumptive as dead C Kirk in imposing your opinions on others

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Watching all the political shenanigans going on in the west, I'm starting to feel that the three points on the political spectrum (far-left, centralist, far-right) are inadequate and that there are actually 2 points on the spectrum that many, if not most, closely associate themselves with.
These are effectively political LaGrange points and there are two of them - one mid-way between far-left and centralist, and the other mid-way between far-right (whatever the fuck that is) and centralist.
These people gravitating to such points (and it's possible to gravitate towards either depending on the subject under discussion) show some alignment with centralist and whatever extreme their chosen LaGrange point sits closest to, but not rabid foaming-at-the-mouth support for that extreme.
But these people are a major constituent of "the silent majority" and it is these who need to find their voices and make it clear that neither far-left, far-right or centralist actually speak for them.

Faux, I think I speak for most of us when I say "please, shut, the fuck, up"
Sick of hearing you cherry picking bits of quotes to twist to your narrative and I can only assume deliberately coming out with horse shit like the shooter was further right than kirk because he has family members to be antagonistic because surely nobody is that stupid

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Kirk says people shouldn’t use their colour or sexuality to paint themselves as special or superior
Having made a ‘career’ bemoaning black people taking ‘white jobs’ and demeaning anyone who isn’t heterosexual
Same old inflammatory nonsense from the dead bloke

It's almost as if you (purposely?) ignored what Kirk said in the clip, like so many online that can be found.

Corrected?
Mr High Hair reckons finding God is the answer
Then accuses the Democrats of being extreme left
Kirk reckons black women don’t have the brain power to understand his arguments on affirmative action, that the Civil Rights act was a mistake & that being trans is a mental illness
And then reckons people think their race or sexuality makes them superior

JK Rowling is doing just fine.
It hasn't stopped HBO remaking the entire Harry Potter oevre which is going to be even more expensive than the film series.
Graham Linehan appears to have have fully disappeared down the (anti)social media rabbit hole and it is very sad. By all means engage with people online but make sure that it is not the only thing that you do.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I think he is entitled to his opinion … like JK Rowling , like Jimmy Kimmel
Haven’t followed closely but understood their might have been some direct harassment of an individual which led to his ludicrously over the top arrest
But again … none of those cases involve the PRESIDENT using his power to end people’s careers and business
So the Republicans were against cancel culture unless it’s them from the highest office
Thats hypocrisy isn’t it?
For free speech or against, make your mind up
Trump is ludicrously thin skinned and is using his office to pursue personal vendettas and make money
I would swear that on a Trump Bible ($99.99 from the Trump Grifter website)

You've picked the one person, JK Rowling, who is so rich and her work is so ingrained in popular culture that they can't cancel her, like Ricky Gervais.
How about Graham Linehan?

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I see the judge threw out Trumps suit against the NY Times for $15bn although he will be allowed to re -file
Was unaware he’d also sued a couple of media outlets who handed over $15m & $16m to him. Nice bit of blackmail work
Saw a reporter from the Australian ABC asked how much extra wealth he had generated since becoming President … unlike every other President who put their investments into a blind trust while in office he has refused and HIS SONS manage them.
Trump went off on one and told the reporter he was damaging Australia & he’d tell the Australian PM on him
The reporter was then refused accreditation for following press conferences

Fauxstralian wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025, 06:21 We have the Trump appointed FCC stooge doing his bidding and Trump saying that if tv stations have content criticising me I will take away their licence.
Thats a bit different to trans types targeting JK Rowling because they don’t like her views. They have the power to make a small dent in her sales but she still publishes & does very nicely thank you
The tv stations via the removal of Colbert & Kimmel are caving to Trump to protect their businesses
So we end up with a government controlled media & any social media criticism of Kirk (mostly quoting his own words) sees JD Vance trying to get you sacked & other conservatives calling for a lifetime social media ban
By the way what did Kimmel say that was lies or tasteless?
Appeared mostly to mock Trump for wandering off to tell us about his ballroom when asked about Kirk
TBH that's true about Rowling and others the loony left have an issue with and seems that many on the right and conservatives aren't comprehending (or perhaps ignoring) the huge difference between the government stomping on free speech versus some mouthy lefty deciding they don't like a person's views.
Trump is actually using political power with his appointed FCC director to try and suppress speech and freedom of the press, that's pretty fucked up, so like him or not these needs calling out and people need voice opposition to it in my opinion, its fucked up and massively hypocritical as well after all the stuff they spouted about freedom of speech etc.
