Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Can you point me in the direction of the “young talent”?
We don’t have much, if we’re being really honest.
We have a few experienced blokes who would fetch half-decent money: Bowen, Paqueta, AWB etc.
Of our younger players, only Summerville and Diouf would fetch good prices.
Everybody else is unproven, hasn’t played enough or consistently poor.
The inevitable fire sale that will follow the inevitable relegation will be quite quick.
Our bigger problem will be offloading the shit and detritus on big contracts who won’t get paid as much elsewhere.
These are the consequences of having an egotistical maniac with a Napoleonic complex in charge.

Very poor the season before. No money to properly improve the squad.
Now we have a squad that lacks the guts to get itself out of the situation we are in.
Also, the 3 promoted sides are all competing rather than rolling over.
Not sure this can be turned around.
this is the 4th shit season on the spin, don't forget Moyes last couple of seasons (20 defeats and then 74 goals conceded the last year)

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Does the rent we pay to use our "home" ground drop should we get relegated?
Maybe Sullivan, having exhausted all other options to raise more money. has decided that reducing the daily cashflow (at the expense of any potential annual profit) is the way he has to lead the club.

The great club that we used to have is now CANCEROUS, it has to be excised before we can move on.

The only team we have beaten this season was managed by our current manager.
But unfortunately, unlike last season, there are not 3 worse teams or squads in the division for us to escape relegation by. In fact a worse squad and a manager that has managed two teams in the bottom 3 does not make for anything other than relegation. Sad really. Still theres the Millwall derby to look forward to, oh, hang on the cunts won last night and are 3rd. Oh, well there's the big one against Stoke on a wet Tuesday night to enjoy.
It wouldn't even surprise me on current form if we don't see Big Sam rock up as a final throw of the dice come Jan / Feb
.
I can just see it now.
After being heavily wined and dined with Blue Nun and peppered Ragu his palms are heavily greased with silver by dildo Dave as he agrees to come back and burst those ruddy bubbles once and for all.
The West ham way eh

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
I've been saying since the last two seasons of Moyes that we are relegation candidates due to our horrendous transfer policy. We have progressively got worse since they cashed in on Rice.
It all boils down to one man. David Sullivan. His operating model is flawed and it will lead us to a second relegation in 15 and a half years since he became an owner.
So much for next level and a world class team in a world class stadium. He and Brady are lying charlatans.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
not playing a centre forward
centre backs who dont attack the ball
midfield that cannot get around the pitch
i'd say last night had relegation written all over it.

Get the kids in, get them ready for next season in the championship
I'd rather they were playing in the Championship on loan to toughen up and actually win a few games with a side. Playing in a lost side under pressure while being hopelessly out classed will do nothing for their development. Not many are even at that level. Mostly League One talent which is still very good but not making a difference in the top leagues.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
That game after the International break against Brentford is looking very important now. Effectively a 6 pointer in October if the next 2 away games go the way as expected.
We could really do with a win tomorrow night, even if it's by way of a controversial VAR Penalty in the last minute of the game.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Relegation is absolutely nailed on if Potter stays.
Hermansen his choice of keeper.
Ward Prowse and Kilman selected every match.
No chances for the young players.
The man's a cսnt.

It’s hard to see anything other than relegation if Potter stays given the evidence so far this season.

Like flies to wanton boys, are we to the Gods. They kill us for their sport.
You get shit after shit after shit and then a performance like this. It's how they prolong the agony.
That is how you defend a one goal lead going into the last few minutes. Not giving them a free invitation..
