Fonseca was my preferred choice to replace Lopetegui back in January, when he was out of work. Extremely doubtful that a) Sullivan would pay out his contract or b) that he would leave Lyon for us.

That's what I want at this stage. They cannot do a worse job than Potter, so a short term contract to the end of the season is a good choice.

Well he might sex pest Karren and then get her sacked like he did with that woman at Red Bull (allegedly....)
To be fair it would be worth hiring such a complete slimy smarmy rodent faced fuck just for the possibility of that.

Plus the guy is an utter cսnt but was very, very good at his job, until his hubris got the better of him.

Imagine having over £52million in readies then being interviewed by Sullivan to be his puppet, that would make TV gold!

I just hope that the board shows more balls than the negative nancys on here who think that we're relegation certainties already so our only hope is to bring in some anti-football cսnt who'll stick 11 men behind the ball. If we do that we probably will get relegated and we'd deserve it too.

It goes back to Sullivan proving time and again he is content and more than happy to just survive in the Premier League just above the relegation zone. He has zero intention of trying to zoom up the League, hence why he is drawing this Potter farce out for as long as possible.

Play midfielders who get on the half turn and first thought is to play forward

Coach Paqueta to stay in the hole to receive the forward pass on half turn

Get Summerville and Bowen to run in behind more to drag defences apart

Off the ball more intensity and organisation in our press. More aggression at the back, particularly at set pieces.

But i think with Fullkrug and Wilson up top till Jan anyone would struggle, off the bench both are ok. Starting.......pissing in wind with pair of them

I have to say, I sort of agree with this.

I know that others disagree - and fair enough: I'm not going to criticise our fans because we're always the ones who get the shit end of this club.

But my own view is that this is a really poor squad in too many key areas, and any incoming manager will have their work cut out getting results out of this group. Especially as there's no prospect of changing players until January. Even then, we have little money left to sign better players.

Now that Mourinho has gone to Benfica, the "nailed on" option for us to avoid relegation is off the table. Every other likely manager runs a high risk of relegating this team. Because it has been so badly put together by a succession of muppets.

That won't stop interested managers taking the job. It's basically a free hit, because we're already in the bottom three. So they'd have a ready-made excuse. But we don't have a lot to offer a new boss. Probably just have to keep repeating the words "Bowen", "big fan base" and "nice apartment in London".
And, btw, I still think we have to change manager. Because while any new manager will find it hard to get results from this team, they'd still stand a far better chance than the clown currently in charge.

Yup and there are simple things they can do short term to have an instant impact or at least try to.

1) Sort out how we defend corners and set pieces- THAT is not difficult. Its basic. If necessary fire the clown he's put in charge of it, That will stop 2/3 of the goals we're conceding immediately
2) Drop JWP and add Magassa
3) Yes, Sullivan has given us fucking toilet options up front, but at least make the most of it. No more Paqueta at false 9 and give Marshall a chance

As I keep saying, I had limited sympathy last season given the hand he was dealt squad wise, but he's got better/different options now and just isn't exploiting them. Just plodding on pig headedly doing the same thing when it clearly isn't working, added to through this centre piece debacle making us really easy to score against.

I'd take Nuno as I think he gives us the best chance of staying up. We are so bad at the moment that anyone that can keep us up gets my vote.

Yes we should be going to buy a manager like Iranola or Coberan but we won't. So staying up this season before yet another rebuild might be best we can hope for.   Depressing stuff.

Carrick with Noble as assistant, and an experienced coach for advice.

If it was out of Nuno or Bilic then I would obviously go with Nuno just because of his PL experience and coming off thew back of a great season with Forest last season.

Bilic is a plodder. Just a journeyman moving from club to club getting work where he can. Nothing wrong with that, good luck to him, but we should be aiming higher than a journeyman.

I think Benitez and Bruce are finished, retired.

Potter needs to go now, today.

Potts can caretake for Everton, Arsenal. At least he'd have the goodwill of the fans and expectations will be low for Arsenal anyway.

I reckon Benitez would take a 6 month gig. It's basically the hallmark of the desperate manager....the "I just need an in, to show I still have it.". The shop window of managerial gigs for guys that have not just failed, but fallen totally off the radar.

Benitez, Bilic, O'Neill...they'd all take 6 months. Steve Bruce would. You can judge if a manager is from the bottom of the pile just by virtue of this.

The only other types are those looking for a leg up to the big time, and again, need a proving ground. So someone like Carrick likely would too.

If we weren't soooo much in the shit, or sooooo early in the season, I'd see an interim appointment as smart. But the trouble is the players don't pull in the same way....they know it's only a short term thing they can ride out. You need characterfull, committed pros to make an interim work...we dont have that IMO.

Chances are if we sign an interim now, we're looking again in January....full Watford basket case Club stylee.
