If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
I want a versatile tactically astute manager who can switch styles based on opponents and the way plan A is going He needs to be a good man manager capable of improving players in the team and capable of helping the very promising batch of youngsters from the academy integrate into the squad No short termism please and don't be cheap Sullivan! The manager position is the most important position at every club! So be AMBITIOUS!!!!

Shame the way it ended for him after the wheels feel off in the 06/07 season, but I liked Pardew, and he always said he had unfinished business with us.Um, how can I say this without getting the lawyers involved? Okay, here goes…
Pardew would find it difficult to come back to West Ham. Something happened while he was here, which would make a return unlikely and difficult.
And I’ll leave it at that, for the sake of WHO.Now you’ve written that, my hazy memory remembers something along the lines of allegation regarding certain proclivities with a ex Welsh Hammers something or other.
But that ‘Welshman’ isn’t at the club, and the ex-teammates that do bits and pieces for us are ambassadors aside from Mark Noble.
As far as I know, that rumour was untrue.

If you're gonna go down, at least go down in style.
Paolo would ensure that, although Sullivan would find a way to out him before we enter the FA Cup.

It would be great fun even if it did go completely tits up which would be highly likely.

Paolo Di Canio
It is the only appointment that would get the whole fanbase (those that go, mainly) together and absolutely up for it. That shitcunt of an athletics stadium would be absolutely rocking. You would struggle to get a ticket for the first game.
It's the absolute opposite of a gamble. This football club needs it.
Could be a spectacular and triumphant train wreck. Paolo landing in a helicopter in the middle of the pitch straight from Italy and just being mental at everyone and everything. I'm in.

Fair enough answer and I do get that. Disagree it would be a certainty but can understand the reluctance and yes it does come with an element of risk.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Since he left us he's had a terrible career lasting little over a year at 5 mediocre clubs.
Whatever he had as a manager he's lost it,there is no loyalty in this game as soon as Everton came he was off like a rocket.
If he came I would back him like I did Potter.

I honestly would welcome the Bilic approach, and I also do not care if we go down. All I care about is Sullivan, Brady and any other useless parasite at board level leaves the club.

100%
What makes you think it would be a certainty though?

Not mystery, just 'unnamed'. Inevitably this is Bilic and O'Neill.

If it's Slav then it can't be a football based decision, relegation a certainty.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Someone needs to show the wankers how to defend Corners properly, so it's a yes from me for Ginge to batter them all in training to show them how to defend again. The current lot are absolutely fucking pitiful at coaching it currently.
I can picture timid Potter, Satlor and Co just placing them all in their cosy little zonal markings and to await nicely delivered balls in to the box by Ward-Prowse to head away every single time without a proper challenge. It would all be too nice in Training. Some cunts like Ginge, Bilic and Noble would steam in to the lot of them to show how to defend better.

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
The serious point is I’d take Bilic on a short-term deal. And perhaps with Noble involved somewhere.
But much as I loved Julian as a player, he can’t coach. He’s not even very good at putting the cones out.

Fuck me - the treatment room won’t be big enough to accommodate the coaching staff, let alone Fullcrock, Wilson, Summerville and the other injury prone players.
Bilic, Julian and Ginge did like a bit of time in the physio room.
