Whatever you think of Potter no one deserves that
Was obvious he was done after Palace if not much earlier so should have gone that Saturday night. If Nuno wasn’t yet agreed the likes of Potts & Keen could have trained the squad during the week
Same old same old from the buffoon Sullivan & business expert Brady

Agree. They have truly shown themselves up as the classless wankers they are in 2 decent (as in their personality) back to back sackings where they have humiliated 2 managers in the space of just 8 months.

Both Potter and Lopetegui made to take Training when it seemed clear the Club wanted to make a change. It should have been Caretaker jobs both times like normal Clubs do in such situations.

1 manager then mercilessly mocked by a young reporter regarding being face swapped by Fans and other Football Clubs worldwide and the other soon after the death of his Father made to take Training for anothet manager whilst it was revealed Potter himself was caught on camera having secret moody meetings in Hotels.

Two classic examples of how this Board operates and this time the likes of Sky Sports News etc cannot ignore it and have exposed how despicable they are.

Also a shambles to have him in all week prepping the team for Everton knowing full well he wasn't going to take the game. Should of been sacked monday and Potts and Robson doing first team training this week.

Glad he is gone and good riddance. Should of been done alot sooner.  But fucked off with how Sullivan has done it as per. Yet again makes us look a utter shambles and will lose respect and reputation in the footballing world.

Do we just faceswap Sullivans face onto everything now to force him out aswell?

He was sacked on Friday night apparently, by Sullivan from Spain.

He normally gets Brady to do his grubby work.  I wonder if the means she's on her way out also? *fingers crossed*

Off in Spain while this is going on at home. What an owner.

I'm with sbbb, and Martin Samuel.  There's no good time to sack a manager.  There wasn't much of an alternative if Nuno's details hadn't been sorted out, and that could mean with him and Nottingham Forest also (so something out of our control).

If we cancelled the press conference, then that would have spoke volumes.  And then if the details with Nuno hadn't been sorted out, then what next?

Another thing about Potter's run of very favourable fixtures during his tenure, is he only had to face either Man City or Liverpool just once after 25 games in charge. Lopetegui had to face them 3 times in 22 games in all competitions. That's how fucking easy Potter had it by comparison and with virtually fuck all pressure throughout, only to produce that predictable bag of stinking shit.

Had the Board been paying closer attention to his Chelsea failure leaving them in 11th place they would have realised he was a disasterous appointment and to stay well clear of him. Sometimes though, it's not what you know, but who you know, eh Kaz you fucking dumb cսnt!

No surprise, should never have been appointed on just the strength of being Brady’s mate. Perpetual failures as owners.
Unsure if NES is the answer but certainly a few rungs up the ladder from Potter. Feels like a distraction from the bigger issues.

You think that's bad? Lopetegui was sacked off the back of losing to the League Champions Away and the Champions Elect Liverpool at Home just before that over a busy Christmas period.
And he'd got 8 points from the previous 4 games so hardly a reason to go in full panic mode and bring in a dismal failure like Potter. We really should have just kept Lopetegui on until the summer.

Some people in the Media have already mentioned how unfair Potter had to take Training during the week before getting unceremoniously sacked soon after. Yet conveniently forget it was him lurking about in Premier Inns having moody date night rendezvous with Steidten and Brady whilst Lopetegui did the bulk of his work for the upcoming Villa Cup game.

He was also sacked right at the end of a busy Christmas fixture list of 5 games* (3 Away trips) in under 3 weeks whilst also coming to terms and burying his beloved old man. Keep it classy and always backing your managers, West Ham...

Opening 5 fixtures involving Sunderland, Forest, Spurs and Palace at Home isn't that bad to only pick up 3 points.

You’re joking right? 3 points ain’t too bad, maybe for a newly promoted side or a smaller club with limited resources but NOT for a side ranked in the world Top 20, pulling one of the highest attendance in the PL?

We should be pushing top 8 at least, bollocks to bring “ok” with 3 points from 15, it’s not good enough, but our clueless board and owners are responsible for that!
No I'm saying the opposite. To only pick up 3 points after that favourable opening set of fixtures including an International break isn't that bad at all.

Who cares? It could have been against Wolves and we’d probably still have lost. His tactics and management were terrible. He had the worst record of any West Ham manager in living memory. He wasn’t sacked because of Crystal Palace.

southbankbornnbred wrote: 28 Sep 2025, 10:22 A lot has been made of the timing.

I’m sure it’s not ideal and, of course, it lacked class because it was Sullivan.  But I'm not bothered by it. There’s never an ideal way of sacking a manager and replacing him quickly. At least we’ve avoided the spectacle of Potter’s tenure dragging on just because we couldn’t find a new manager.

I don’t really have any sympathy for Potter. He was utterly useless, he was inexplicably arrogant and prickly for somebody so talentless, and he was never one of us. The guy genuinely doesn’t seem to understand what a terrible job he did here and at Chelsea.

I fully agree
you should go and have a read what they’re saying about it over on kumb if you wanna have a laugh, apparently he’s a top bloke and top coach that’s been thrown under the bus
I even saw one cretin write that he liked Potters ideas and style of play, fucking masochist right there
