Weekend Games (3/4/5 October)
No one fancy this then?
03 October 2025 20:00
A. F. C. Bournemouth v Fulham
League Positions: 5 v 10
Current Form Factor: 27 v 22
Close-run Home win for this one, one or two goal difference. Not even worth seeking out a boozer in which to watch this.
04 October 2025 12:30
Leeds United v Tottenham Hotspur
League Positions: 11 v 3
Current Form Factor: 19 v 21
Difference in league positions should be the major factor, But Leeds at home may give them the edge. Can Spurs go all spursy this early in the season? Let us pray, my brethren, then after the collection has been taken we'll have a rousing hymn number 87.
Home win, few goals.
04 October 2025 15:00
Arsenal v West Ham United
League Positions: 2 v 19
Current Form Factor: 31 v 11
Hope beyond hope won't produce a rabbit out of the hat for this one. Forget the score and pray for a battling performance, at least. To play (some of) the youth again? Absolutely, how else will they gain PL experience...once the score looks settled either way....either way! Ha Ha Ha! As if!!! Bet-Your-House-On-It-Home win.
Manchester United v Sunderland
League Positions: 14 v 4
Current Form Factor: 19 v 28
All points to an Away win here; here comes that hope again. Will be amusing to watch what the MSM pump out in their clearly paid-for column inches all about Manchester United.
04 October 2025 17:30
Chelsea v Liverpool
League Positions: 9 v 1
Current Form Factor: 12 v 30
Should be the tie of the weekend. All arrows point to a Liverpool win - if they turn up after Europe.
Away win.
05 October 2025 14:00
Aston Villa v Burnley
League Positions: 12 v 18
Current Form Factor: 24 v 7
Villa probably couldn't have asked for a better game. They may just have hit form and a confidence boosting win won't hurt them.
Home win.
Everton v Crystal Palace
League Positions: 16 v 7
Current Form Factor: 15 v 33
Everton will be disappointed at dropping a couple of points against us and Palace seem to be bubbling
Cheeky Away win on this one.
Newcastle United v Nottingham Forest
League Positions: 15 v 17
Current Form Factor: 15 v 5
Looks to all intents and purposes even-stevens on this one. Draw - and a Desmond, at that. Thus spake the site's football guru...whoever that is
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Brighton & Hove Albion
League Positions: 20 v 8
Current Form Factor: 5 v 26
Wolves can't buy a point at the moment. Can't see it changing this weekend. Away Win.
05 October 2025 16:30
Brentford v Manchester City
League Positions: 13 v 6
Current Form Factor: 21 v 28
Should be City, but Brentford handled Manchester's red wing well last weekend (fnar-fnar!).
Away win, none-the-less, and a damp squib on which to end the weekend.
For all those with a desperate need to point at me and laugh, wins for Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion, Sunderland & Crystal Palace in my 4-fold acca.

Re: Weekend Games (3/4/5 October)
Half watching the Brentford game
Poor in the first half but restricting Man City in the second
Man City nil shots on or off target in the second half & will be delighted to eke out the 1-0
Wasting time from throw ins now

Checked the scores on LiveScore
Think they use AI for their summaries as Wolves supposedly down to 10 men
THEIR COACH GOT SENT OFF

Re: Weekend Games (3/4/5 October)
Was saying last night given some of the players some of the big teams have bought recently am astonished Semenyo is still at Bournemouth
Though they sold 3 of their back 4 for about £100m (maybe more) in the summer so no pressure on them

Look at Bournemouths old 11,000 capacity Dean Court Ground holding them back in the Premier League...
