Fantastic in their day, but like so many bands, they should have hung it up a long time ago rather than drag it out so the band is a shadow of what it once was. This is apparent when you see a really good tribute band who are 30 years younger than the originals, and it reminds you of what that band used to be capable of.

Too much of this out there now as many bands hit their 60s, 70s and 80s. Examples include Motley Crue (yeah I know they were never any good), Kiss (yeah I know they were never any good) and I hear Rush (well the remaining two members) are going back out there next year too. Some can pull it off (Eagles), but this seems to be a minority.

Clearly they all have the right to do whatever they want, but certainly in my eyes it does harm the legacy if a band's last act is a watered down version of what went before.

Was thinking a similar thing watching Supergrass perform recently. I was thinking why am I watching this when there are so many videos on YouTube of them performing with more vitality and energy in the 90s.
