I was in Dublin for Minnesota Vikings v Pittsburgh Steelers 2 Sundays ago.
Never had any interest in NFL but went as I’d never been to Croke Park. (And it was corporate)
Fantastic 4 hours of entertainment, great atmosphere with 40,000 yanks there. Actually enjoyed the game and may even go again

The Browns QB situaton is hilarious and completely of their own making. Havind said Dillon Gabriel did OK in his first game.
Poor Joe Flacco is going to get battered. I'd be amazed it he makes it to Christmas without getting broken.

SB, it was worrying seeing him start in that knee brace but he got more and more comfortable as the game progressed. Never saw a rookie QB like him for any team, and if he can just keep sliding at the right time will have an unbelievable career

Totally agree, TM. The best young QB I've seen for a few years. Said it before, but he just never seems to be fazed by anything. As you know, once the snap goes in the NFL, everything happens at 100 miles an hour. That kid just seems to suspend time so that he can make good decisions.

I hope he stays relatively injury free for a good while, because it will be great for Washington and it'll piss off the Cowgirls in that division!

from early on, he's had that Jordan type aura. these elite players are different, he's also very humble and I've not seen one diva type reaction yet towards a team mate. regarding the Cowboys, they're performing better than I expected. they have one of my favourite college running backs, Javonte Williams (UNC). your old player (another favbourite, and Javonte's running mate) Michael Carter is now in Arizona

Tanner Engstrand, the OC, will probably be backed to stay for a couple of years at least. You can see that his offensive schemes are promising. But the RBs keep fumbling the ball at key times, and Fields is a very limited passer once his primary receiver (almost always Wilson) is double-teamed. And the offensive penalties have to stop. That's on Glenn, on both sides of the ball, because he made it his priority.

Btw, Wilks might become the first casualty of the Jets' latest clusterfuck.

They will stick with Glenn, of course. But Wilks really only has the rest of this season to make significant improvements to the defense in New York. We're spending a lot of money on that side of the ball, and they look utterly toothless. Not a single takeaway through the first five games. Even shit sides of the past had a few accidental fumble recoveries etc by now. Us - zilch!

The general roster is poor, and we knew that. But that defense contains Sauce, the Williams brothers (Quinnen is a top quality player in the right system) and Will McDonald. Yet they're leaking an average of 31.5 points per game so far. You can't win matches that way. There's just no aggression, or co-ordination and the players look confused by the "system". They're weak in all defensive departments (offense at least has Garrett Wilson, who is a top-five receiver playing in a #32 team!).

Wilks was an underwhelming choice for a new dawn in New York. And his defense is very, very flat at this early stage. He seems like a decent fella. But 100% it'll be his head on the chopping block if they don't improve at some point in this shitshow season. The players are not reacting to him, or Glenn, at all at this point.

Don’t even know what to say about the New York Jets anymore. They are a car accident I can’t look away from.

If we, as West Ham fans, hate our incompetent owners, just think how Jets fans feel. Woody Johnson has owned the Jets for ten years longer.

Aaron Glenn now has the worst start of any Jets coach ever (0-5). And we’ve had Rich Kotite and Adam Gase!

He was always a poor QB. We massively over-reached for him at #5 in the 2009 draft. He was more like a #25+ pick. But, as always with QBs from successful college teams, his draft value was inflated. He only had one year as a starter at USC, which should have been a red flag: not really enough game time to evaluate him.

He was "OK" as a QB leading Ryan's run-heavy team for three seasons, and throwing screens and short third down plays. But his medium and long-range passing was poor for a top-five pick and he never improved. If anything, he got worse as his confidence evaporated.

Still the last QB to lead us to the play-offs, and did it two years in a row. Won four play-off games which, incredibly, is more than some really good NFL QBs. But that's a testament to Ryan's defense - and Revis.
