Why have so many posters left this site?
Anyone speak to the usual mob who used to flood this place on a daily basis?
Me personally I had a kid, went through hell and back then started up back in Estate agency, so only really now got more time to post albeit now and then, mainly because it's so quiet on here now days.

Forum list for example:
West Ham (Self explanatory)
Tickets (Same same)
Other Sports (Any sport/non West Ham)
Off-topic (Charlotte Church’s tits)
Politics (Bring back Hammer and Thickle)
Len’s Musings (Whatever Len wants to post about)The old layout was better. This new layout is fucking shit.
What was "better" about the old layout. Like what exactly...as we did everything we could to maintain as much of the old as possible.

Make of that what you will.
Out of interest, what was the number on each of those days?

"All this place needs it for it to be sectioned..."
As well as a few regular contributors.

Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
Its definitely busy when there's a match or big news involving west ham . As you'd expect for a west ham site. I like the music and film stuff so will look in there as well, the 'covers' thread recently attracted a lot of interest.
Otherwise it can be a bit westham-nonce-line.co.uk

Not sure I agree with that, whilst the likes of Hammer and Picked for example were utter cunts, it was entertaining and created discussions and a lot of arguing, which this place is best known for.
Other than the politics thread, the other threads I've looked through have been about as boring as Swiss on a WHO slurps night out.

This is true, as long as there are at least a handful of people that you wish to interact with.

I can only assume it's because of a very long standing habit, long after my interest in the main topic has waned massively. Still happy if West Ham do well, but I have no interest in dissecting anything either during or after the 90 mins has finished.
Simply cannot be arsed with any childish squabbling over politics or indeed anything else. It ALL achieves absolutely less than zero. Mind you, I took Nurse's suggestion, and careful blocking of certain posters has raised the overall standard of the content quite substantially.

Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
Although it is absolutely dead during the international break. To be honest we would be better unplugging everything and saving the electricity until it a couple of days before the weekend.
International breaks can fuck right off. Just makes me resent the England team.

I believe the mods did some stats on this and in fact its not dying at all in terms of members and like I said just that people who previously posted don't. Don';t hold ne to that.
Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
It’s the only West Ham site worth a visit if you’re not into Social Media.
it’s always had its fair share of people moaning, but this is literally the best place online for West Ham and non-West Ham content.
One thing this site should have done along time ago is have a room for politics, not just a thread. It’s a big draw for discussion, so a room to create the kind of engagement people are after would be a winner, and the front page not being clogged up by it. I’d also stop users being able to view all forum posts at once and force people into designated room, which is what most forums do.

The old site went super slow and killed everyone's enthusiasm.
West Ham are absolutely pathetic in every conceivable way which has killed everyone's enthusiasm.
Everyone got old. And so did their enthusiasm.
P. S
Fuck you Bolty you helmet.

Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
Three main reasons I think.
1. The old site was pathetic and it was left way too late to update it.
2. The likes of Hammer and Pickle and the pathetic and endless bickering over politics.
3. The weird, obsessive, stalking behaviour by some of the sad act always on members of the forum.
