International Break Yawn Fest

So here we are with another International Football yawn-fest.

What will you do for the next 14 days while meaningful football shuts down?  In some ways two weeks downtime will be a nice break from the current West Ham circus.

When we get back...the next 5 games will likely define the whole season.

Checked out prices for Cat 4 tickets in the group stage in Atlanta. Those started at $488 (364 GBP). That is before fees, taxes, and whatever else.

Yeah I saw Ferguson scored for Eire so out of curiosity I wanted to see how he was getting on in Rome. 0 goals and 1 assist so far. 

Getting the distinct whiff of a one season wonder at least in club football and very much doubt at this rate Roma will fork out 40 million for him. Scored five times as many international goals as club goals in the last 12 months though so he's at least doing it for his country, albeit only 5 goals and against the likes of Armenia, Finland, Hungary and Bulgaria.

Started 3 out of 6 games for his new Club playing in a different Country contributing towards Roma currently sitting in 2nd place on the same points as current Champions Napoli.

And scored ZERO goals.

Lopetegui just managed to get Qatar qualified to the World Cup for the first time ever today in the end when it didn't look good for them 6 months ago when they had to sack the previous manager. Somehow there wasn't any language barrier there.. Useless cսnt.

Looking like they won't qualify again. I know it's of no interest to just about everyone on here, but they have their best squad in years. Another bad managerial choice 

His 8th goal and 1 assist in his 26th appearances to date. Not bad for a 20yo starting out in his career at International senior level for Ireland.

Think his time with England is numbered. I doubt Bowen will make the World Cup squad as Tuchel doesnt  seem to fancy him and to be honest he is playing within himself. I hope he can find some form under Nuno to at least ask the question but unless there are injuries then I think Saka and Madueke are nailed on.

He fashioned an excellent chance for himself in the short space of time he was on the pitch when everyone else was struggling to hit the target with only 3 in total. He ends up forcing a decent saves from their Keeper and it set the tone for the remaining minutes of the game with N Ireland piling more pressure on them.

It feels like he just needs to score one in off his arse or something so to get his senior career under way then I expect the pressure to lift a bit for him. 

He's lightweight which is an issue fighting for the ball and something he needs to work on but he does have decent pace and movement I like a lot for a young Striker. He has thw right approach to get his shot away at the earliest opportunity he can and to hit the target. He aint Defoe but he is Defoesque at times whenever I watch him play.

A cross between Peter Crouch and Rudi Voller but he appears to know where the goal is...

It was NI only shot on target,first touch excellent and a decent effort. He clearly needed more time. NI wasted using him an extra ten minutes or more wouldhave seen Germany make more errors which was evident considering a fragile keeper and defence.
If Marshall gets more than 45 minutes against Brentford he'll score as his shots consistantly hit the target.

I watched Marshall closely when he came on and I wasn't impressed. He looks bang average to me and like a League 1 level player.

He almost scored an equaliser against Germany after only 15 minutes of coming on as a Sub.

Almost being the operative word. It was a poor finish.

He almost scored an equaliser against Germany after only 15 minutes of coming on as a Sub.

Thought Marshall Did ok seeing he was only on for about 15/20 mins especially against a team like Germany 

Ps..l did Aveley vs Gateshead on Saturday and enjoyed it more than Premiership football...yeah no way as skillful so they don't tippy tappy play out from back but lump it up so actually more entertaining as games do become end to end
