We've got a crop of talented young Strikers in and around the U21s now. Ajala, Marshall and Landers all have a lot of quality. If any of them can make the step up to the Prem it would help towards solving a long established issue up front.

Finished 1-1. Adiele with the equaliser. Marshall missed an injury time penalty to win it, but Heygi also made some good saves.

I watched the goals on the website for the U18s 8-2 win over Ipswich. Their goalie looks dogshit, but Isaac Thomas looks promising. He’s only 16 and was playing at centre back, but still got four goals. The only downside is he’s Welsh!

Just fallen behind v Wolves - 0-1.

Earthy and Marshall both starting, Hegyi back in goal.

No Kante, Mayers or Golambeckis.

Might need them this season.

If we are, as I expect, relegated by March, would make sense to blood as many ofvtte youngsters as possible from that team. They are used to playing together in a successful team and supplemented with a few ecperienced players, can only hp to build a squad for next season in the Championship.  Even the keeper looks decent.

Potts, Earthy, Magassa, Fernandes, Diouf, Scarles, Fearon, Orford, Kante, Landers, Marshall, Cummings, Ajala supplemented by KWP, AWB, Summerville, Mavro and a few more experienced players ( striker, CB ) brought in woukd hopefully form the core of a young squad that could compete over a 50+ game season ( incl cups).  Fans would idrntify and get behind it for sure.  The U21s are competing with Lge 1 and 2 teams as is so add a few experienced “war horses” ?

The above is based on us having to sell Bowen our only real quality player and fire sale the rest of the rubbish we’ve accumulated.

Brilliant result for the U21's.
No inverted full backs, solid defensive display without one of their best players.
Resilient play.by all. 3 goals young Ajala back in form,Earthy great 45 mins with an assist and goal. Landers finding the net after a few games on the sidelines. Keep it up and maybe we might have to use him.
I pray to god that Crack Head was watching here or at home. If not he should f**k off. All his coaches should be watching too especially Robson, who probably thinks this was down to him.

However Swindon pressure is on and they hit back.
3-2 to WH.
Can they hold on, players may get tired, good subs at the right time maybe another one will be required I feel

2-0 Earthy
Landers and Earthy combine , Earthy shoots and beats the keeper.
How much time Earthy will get could be crucial, hoping he can last as long as possible with no issues.
Looking good.

Can any of them head a ball or defend corners?

But seriously are there any prospects at CB?

Kante and Fearon look to be the most suited physically ( pace, strength ) even though others like Orford are ahead technically.  Agree they should be given minutes and should replace the likes of JWP, Soucek, Guido or Irvine in the squad

From the small amounts I’ve seen I’d have Kante & Fearon in the first team squad
If only to prepare them to be in the team next season in the Championship
