Summerville Summerville

Post Come On You Irons »

Lively player but I'm getting concerned with his lack of end product. I'm convinced Nuno observed the same last evening which is why he hooked him.

He seems like a poor man's Kudus and more like a Benrahma type player with the promise but lack of end product. If he showed more composure last evening he could have got at least one assist.

I've been a supporter of Summerville since we signed him but I hope the Championship doesn't prove to be his level.

Running with the ball in dangerous areas he is great. It's that final end product he lacks at this level though so far. He needs to address it or I'd look to flog him in the Summer if he cannot manage it by then. Let's hope he makes some goals soon.

This fella is turning into a bit of liability for me. He clearly doesn't want to track back or close players down and given he has no end product he should be benched. He was awful against Leeds and anonymous again today.

Just how back must Guillherme be to not be deemed good enough to replace this Championship level player.

Good point...the falsetto voiced Somerville was far more talented at what he was good at than this fella.

Yep, Bowen is capable of putting a decent ball in, if he’s not cutting in and going for goal.

We are royally fucked when goes.

We had the opportunity to get the ball in the box to Wilson when he came on. That’s meat and drink to him. Put half a dozen decent balls in, and he’ll get on the end of at least one.

No-one to cross to most of the time.
In his defence last night, because of the lack of midfield he was hardly able to concentrate on attacking, nor did he ever really receive the ball in an attacking position. Like everyone he was ineffectual, but i bet he would look a lot better playing with a striker in the middle to aim at and the midfield we finished the match with

And yet Bowen managed it fine... Like Paqueta we've got to be harsher on those who are in the Team supposedly therre to create and assist us. Both have been shocking in 2 seasons now.

Another Sullivan special. He must be so proud.

Whenever I see him running down blind alleys losing the ball I just think to myself - "Less Tattoos and More Football please"

That's always the feeling he leaves me with.

He scored 20 and assisted 11 in his last season at Leeds, so how your boy's mate came to that conclusion, God knows.
Because the Championship is his level. Summerville is just a other Benrahma/ Cornet in the Premier League. A winger with no end product and out of his depth.

I thought he was the one shining light.  Yes ok end product could be better but I would prefer to judge him on that with a decent striker playing.  There was one moment when he burst through but the movement wasn't great around him, that's where I think Wilson could help with that experience up front, making runs to take defenders away.  With Paqueta up there he playes as a False 9.  Last thing Summerville wants when in full burst is to see the striker moving towards him!  I'm really surprised Wilson hasn't been given a chance.  Thought he looked very sharp when he came on against Forest.

Unfortunately he doesnt look like creating anything or scoring. Works hard is super quick but very lightweight for the Prem Lge. In a strong team he would likely be an impact sub but sadly he has to start every game for us

I think the lacking end product in the Prem accusation levelled at him is fair. I do like it when he does get motoring with the ball but far too often it doesnt lead to much which isn't good enough. He needs to start making goals to go along with some of the good work he does do up and down the wing. He does at least try his bollocks off which can't be questioned.

Yep, totally agree.

Sure, his end product isn’t great. If it was, he’d be playing for a Champions League side.

But, of all the players in our squad, at least this fella has some bollocks about him, and has drive/determination during matches.

Him and Bowen are the least of our problems.

He’s not a striker. Seemed to not know where he was or what he was supposed to do but he did give it a go.

His performance last night was a manager on acid problem

Agreed, worked hard, frustrated he got no support. He's a young player who will be exciting to watch and one of very few players other clubs may want to buy.
