The days of dodgy old scouts roaming parks looking for talent is long gone.
The Tony Bloom model of stats and facts is deffo the way forward, successful at Brighton and now with the Jambos. His team in Camden have info on players from all divisions in every country on the planet.

Re: Heart of Midlothian
Some Scottish clubs used to play in the English FA Cup, as did Linfield.
Forest are the only club to have played teams from N.Ireland, Scotland and Wales in it.

And like England, their non-league scene is thriving.
COYI - No chance Rangers or the other mob would yo-yo with access to the riches of the PL. They’d become mid table teams fairly quickly, but I think they’d struggle to break into the top 6.In its current state Rangers would be relegated from the premier League. Its squad is shite.
Without a doubt, but they wouldn’t be playing with that squad. All but Raskin would make it down here.

The Welsh clubs should also piss off into a Welsh league
Being that I couldn’t give a toss about international football, I’m ok with that.

Makes moving to Scotland next year so I’ll be ticking some of them off.

That song had a great video featuring Glyn Edwards essentially portraying a very similar character to Dave from Minder.

Re: Heart of Midlothian
I’d so love to see a club other than the ‘old firm’ win the league. But it is early days. Over the last 30 years or so we’ve seen both Hearts and Aberdeen challenge for the title only to fall away in the new year. Presumably due to not having as big a squad as Celtic. I do remember Aberdeen winning it a few times in the early 1980s. But as has already been said it would be good for Scottish football to see Hearts succeed.

Re: Heart of Midlothian
Brenda is a good manager, but he lacks bollocks and would have jumped ship the first chance he got back to a stable Premier League club. He's like Mourinho in a way and has a shelf life before he moves on himself or he's sacked.
Had he been available before Nuno, I'd have definitely preferred him to come in, but we're not stable so he'd likely passed on taking over us.

Re: Heart of Midlothian
Enough of a gap between them and Celtic for Rodgers to resign.
Bizarre that 72 year old Martin O'Neill is going back there. He hasn't managed for years.

Rather Hearts than Celtic, but with Danny Rohl in charge at Rangers, I’m hoping after this season the era of Rangers dominance begins.

The 1986 double runners up in both, was where they got their fanzine name from “Always the bridesmaid”

Hearts winning the title would be the best thing to happen to Scottish football
That would be their 5th league title … 4 more than Rangers
