Potts for me, playing in the area we were crying out for better in, young lad, great attitude, likeable and a sensible haircut, what’s not to like with the kid? When he scored I thought him and Stevie would burst with pride.
Todibo ran him a close tied second (didn’t think that performance was in there) with Paqueta, and was lovely to see Bowen not under so much pressure and lighten up in his interview.

So so pleased for Freddie, but the stand out performance for me was Paqueta. But most of all a team effort.

Wilson has to start every game now, even if he's only got 60 mins in him.
Just a shame hes not 3 yrs younger. (Wilson)..

Was highly unfortunate to have his goal chalked off by the finest of margins having finished it well. Created 2 chances. Kept the play ticking over nicely in the middle of the pitch. Covered a hell of a lot of ground all over the park. Delivered a corner straight on to Kilmans head that the Keeper saved well from. Was influential from the start to the very end of the game lasting the distance. It was an outstanding first Team starting debut in the Premier League from 1 so raw against top quality opposition. He edged it over Bowen for me.

Lots of excellent performances today. No one played badly.
Was really impressed with the 2 new boys, Fernandes & Diouf.
Todibo had his best game for us.
Areola was much better today than his recent performances.
Wilson though clearly past his best was an improvement as a target and link on Fulkrug which says it all about the German.
MOTM could go to any of Paqueta, Bowen or Potts, but Potts has to get it as it was his first start.

Yes this is paranoid bollocks, but it really did look like Wilson purposefully missed today. I was behind the goal where he missed that glancing header and it looked to me his intention was to glance it wide. Yes, yes I know that’s bollocks, of course it is. But I had get that off my chest somewhere. I couldn’t bring myself to clap him off the pitch. (Although noted the Geordies could)

Bowen
Runs his socks off and unlucky not to score at least one goal
Where would we be without him ?
