World Cup Tickets
Anyone else been looking at this?
First nightmare, ticket prices are 1000s of US dollars!!! They have a resale option for unwanted tickets from the early sale. I looked at one game and prices were from 1800 to 11500 US dollars!! I heard said they were expensive, but that made me think a 100, maybe 200, but 1000s! It's a piss take.
Second nightmare, group matches will be played across different cities in different countries and you will probably have to travel over a 1000 miles between venues for different group games!
It is just bare faced robbery. With no thought of the fans.
It is so sad what these money grabbing cunts are doing to every part of our game.
I really wanted to go, but cannot see it at the moment. I'll see what happens after the draw on the 5th Dec. Maybe it's a bit better through the football association...

Re: World Cup Tickets
Games involving certain player will be sold at a premium, 2 players especially will draw the rich punters and extra TV money in, Messi and Ronaldo
But i read this morning that Ronaldo gets a 3-game ban for elbowing someone in the head. But because he’s Ronaldo. He misses 1 game with two games suspended so he doesn’t miss the opening World Cup game. FIFA not even hiding there corruption anymore..........

Re: World Cup Tickets
Following England at tournaments hasn't been a cheap thing for a long time. A glance at my office wall tells me I paid $150 for my Argentina-England ticket at Japan 2002, $200 for my Germany-England ticket At South Africa 2010 and $285 for Croatia-England at Russia 2018. It obviously shouldn't cost what this one is costing, but I think they know that most of the people will be American and they don't seem to have any sense when it comes to sport and money.
I suspect/fervently hope that they will struggle with it, just as they seriously overestimated demand for the Club World Cup nonsense.
UEFA introduced 'Fans First' for the 2020 Euros, and it's bloody great. Can't speak highly enough of it.

Re: World Cup Tickets
Mex - it wasn't your comment I was replying to. You're absolutely right about ticket prices for this WC, but what I said below about the Euros means what Mmdc said isn't true - I paid c£330 for ALL of England's games at the Euros last year, including the Final. That's great value.
I haven't bought it yet as FIFA have only done one public sale, they haven't done the FA sales yet. It'll cost a fortune (even though my 'caps' mean I'll get the cheapest), I know, but just in case.....
Ignore resale sites, they aren't real numbers - that's what someone HOPES to make. And there are FIFA sales to come, I believe.

But maybe they will - the prices Yanks pay for NFL is absolutely mouth-watering.
I get your point, but either way, FIFA are gong for maximum profit in this event, any ordinary person (football fan) wont get much of a look in unless they are willing to sell a kidney, rob a bank or similar!!!
Watch this video to see how corrupt the FIFA 2026 WC ticketing process is.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vElThKJlTSU
FIFA makes money at every step of the ticket buying process. Firstly they sell 'the opportunity' to buy tickets – no guarantee that you will get any, the tickets themselves, when tickets are resold both the buyer and the seller pays an extra fee which goes to FIFA.
Personally i hope ordinary fans boycott this event, i know (just like FIFA) that they wont and they will be there to be royally screwed for every penny FIFA can get their grubby hands on.

Re: World Cup Tickets
Ball, Why do you say not entirely true? Go on FIFA web site select resale and look at the prices and tell me again what I said is not entirely true. Just did a screen capture of opening game in the Azteca, Mexico, prices for the tickets on resale are 5232 - 11500 US dollars. I don't see how to put the screen capture here though. Out of interest what did you pay for your final ticket in the actual sale rather than resale?

Match Day 4 USA V TBD (so dont even know the opposition yet) but only 10% of tickets available, in GBP from 1027 for Category 4 (the cheapest option) to GBP 188,143 (thats not a typo!!!!) for VIP and only 4 tickets left in this category.............Is it unreasonable to suspect FIFA officials, their wives, children and pet dogs have all been getting $$$$ via selling on their allocations or what they could get their hands on?

I also have no interest in going to the USA. What a cսnt of a place and even worse with that dictator clown. I really would like to go to games in Mexico and don't mind Canada. Got family in Toronto. Hopefully, get some games outside the USA and the FAs offer tickets at reasonable prices. I'll wait for the draw and see what happens about tickets and travel.
You won't get tickets through the FA without being a Travel Club member with some loyalty points behind you. And as far as we know FIFA aren't doing 'Fans First' (cheap tickets for those with the most points) tickets like UEFA, so there won't be anything cheaper through the FA who have no say in prices.

Not entirely true about the tickets, but obviously it's easier to deal in cliches and assumptions. Read my post below.

It’s because the media can’t get to grips with a black footballing superstar.
Nothing to do with the fact that he is overhyped and behaves like a petulant child.
Like Pele, Ronaldinho, Mbappe, Henry...

You couldn't pay me to go the US dictatorship at the moment and the World Cup is almost meaningless now until you get to the last 16. I mean who wants to watch these little countries get 10 put past them or scramble a 0-0 against each other. The Trump Soccer World Cup which is how it will be called when it comes round, especially by that obsequious little turd Infantino, will be fucking awful. As for prices, my mate who works there fairly frequently said, as an example, he ordered a McDonalds breakfast for him and his missus and it was $35. He says prices in the States nowadays are horrific. Good luck and you need your head testing if you're going.

Not sure Trump will be best pleased when a bunch of men in skirts turn up
Turned around at the airport or deported to Guantanamo

If it stays like that will just be a tournament played in empty stadiums.
