Well after the disappointment of the Liverpool surrender-fest, next up it's the challenge of Man Utd away.

Amorim seems to have found a way to get them winning points, but their old challenges prevail, with unadventurous wing backs, a pedesitrian and hti and miss central midfield, and no consistent chance-creation plan.

Nuno has a reasonable record against Man Utd (I think I read somewhere) and despite the Bookies having made them huge favourites for this, this feels more likely to yield points than Liverpool.

For us, Paqueta is out. Summerville is out.  Rest of the squad is available.  Will Nuno give Luis G another go in the Sumemrville berth with Paqeta out and few attacking options available, or will he match up Man Utd with a back 3, and keep the improving Magassa in the side?  Can Wilson manage another game in such quick succession?

Predicted Line Up:
Areola

Wan Bissaka  Mavropanos   Todibo   Diouf

Magassa Potts

Bowen     Fernandes    Guilherme

Wilson
Subs: Hermansen, Kilman, Igor, KWP, Irving, Rodriguez, Soucek, Fullkrug, Earthy.

Predicted Scoreline:   I reckon we get something from this, although maybe a win proves beyond us?

1-1 (Bowen, Mbuemo).

Soucek as a forward is his only use now imo

He aint one and cant hold it up or anything but can perhaps cause a nuisance of himself.

Hope you are right ScottD and Magassa, Potts and Fernandes are the midfield

Had little to no hope but thus virtually guarantees a defeat.  Soucek is not equipped physically to play in the PL just like Irvine and Guido. These managers never learn from the past or present.

Magassa, Potts and Fernandes are all also in the team?

It would be an odd call but I wonder if Soucek is playing as a bumbling forward / no.10 rather than a midfielder.

Otherwise we've got 4 central midfielders in the team.

Reminds me of Redknapp thinking Impey was good just because he had experience and ignoring the fact he was utter gash

Man Utd's backline is Ayden Heaven, Luke Shaw, and Mazroaui.

Could be some joy in the air for Soucek tonight.

Fernandes will be wide left...lots of build up with Amad and Mbuemo down the Man Utd right, so suspect he's tasked with helping out Diouf.

Cheers Stubbo. Would have like to have seen a left attacker there rather than Soucek. Leaves me a bit disappointed as it seems to suggest another Liverpool esque setup and performance in prospect.

Can't really work out what the formation is going to be. I hope Fernandes not pushed out to the left where he'd be wasted. Magassa surely not playing CB to make it wing backs with Bowen and Wilson up top?

Very positive about the bench though. I do like that he's doing this. I think we will need some of those players.

Is tonight’s game on a Thursday so fat yanks can watch, or because of fixture congestion?

And a centre forward, some more legs in midfield would be nice, a winger that doesn't break down every 12 seconds and has an end product... and a whole load more

Not ideal but I'd stick KWP at left back and push Diouf further up.  Not convinced by Dioufs defending but he does have some pace and if we are going to get anything then Wilson needs crosses and Diouf isn't going to do that if pinned back all game.

Win - Didn't deserve it, bad opposition, Nuno got lucky

Draw - Should have won, Nuno parked the bus

Lose - Nuno out, we should be winning these kind of matches.

Pretty fucked either way poor old Lopetegui/Moyes/Potter/Nuno

Even though that didn't happen for the Newcastle win, Everton draw, or loss against Arsenal where he got rightly praised for much of it.

If Nuno doesn't want justified criticism for much of the rest, then it's up to him to sort his shit out and to get us performing better. It's not the fans fault for calling it out when it has been totally unacceptable like the shocking team sheets/tactics/subs he did ir didn't choose from.
