Well after the disappointment of the Liverpool surrender-fest, next up it's the challenge of Man Utd away.

Amorim seems to have found a way to get them winning points, but their old challenges prevail, with unadventurous wing backs, a pedesitrian and hti and miss central midfield, and no consistent chance-creation plan.

Nuno has a reasonable record against Man Utd (I think I read somewhere) and despite the Bookies having made them huge favourites for this, this feels more likely to yield points than Liverpool.

For us, Paqueta is out. Summerville is out.  Rest of the squad is available.  Will Nuno give Luis G another go in the Sumemrville berth with Paqeta out and few attacking options available, or will he match up Man Utd with a back 3, and keep the improving Magassa in the side?  Can Wilson manage another game in such quick succession?

Predicted Line Up:
Areola

Wan Bissaka  Mavropanos   Todibo   Diouf

Magassa Potts

Bowen     Fernandes    Guilherme

Wilson
Subs: Hermansen, Kilman, Igor, KWP, Irving, Rodriguez, Soucek, Fullkrug, Earthy.

Predicted Scoreline:   I reckon we get something from this, although maybe a win proves beyond us?

1-1 (Bowen, Mbuemo).

We simply lack the personnel to create anything useful here.

We need Summerville to play on the break, or Paqueta on for to set the likes of Wilson and Bowen away.

Marshall is probably our only option for more lace on the break.

Don't know how we are going to make something happen here. The squad is painful.

I think both Wilson and Bowen are working well together out there with clever movement and winning plenty of free kicks to take the pressure off the team at times.

We have jack shit to push on with though...and that first 20 mins the mancs were still in the changing room, and still managed what we had to offer comfortably enough.
2-0 the mancs is my prediction...We've got NOTHING going forward for the second half

No lack of effort or fight but the same problem of being unable to create much in the final third. Diouf looks very vulnerable defensively and will be exploited. KWP on the  right and switch AWB to the left might be a good move

our lack of strikers plain to see. And our best  available11 is out there.  Get Earthy on for Soucek at 60 mins is about our only option. Marshall for Wilson our only other attacking option but he aint strong so cant hold it up and Wilson cant do that either.

Last Sunday and tonight really exposing Sullivans running of the club. All that money spent and a squad like that with about 13 players good enough snd a few youths

Cant see where a goal for us comes from

Diouf off for KWP for me. I think he could easily get booked again or let them in. We will need something more going forward as well.

goose wrote: 04 Dec 2025, 20:51 Not terrible, but first ten minutes aside we don’t look capable of getting down the other end of the pitch.

if we continue to sit back they will eventually score.

Bowens mazy run and shot, Fernandes shot who should have done a lot better with the position he found himself in blocked by Casemiro, Soucek if he was a dirty cheat like so many others in the game could have gone down for a penalty, 4 corners. Not going to do too much better than that in a 1st half at Old Trafford against a resurgent Man Utd side who could go level with 4th place Chelsea beating us. I can't ask for too much more if I'm honest.
