Big game for the kids tonight...four games from Wembley, and the only academy left in the comp.
Orford and Golambeckis out...otherwise full strength expected.

Fraser
For once I ageee with you.
We will probably take more than AFC will have attending.
Anyone going feel free to get in to 2Left Feet's Royal Box and smash a prawn sandwich or two in his cake hole.

They've got this far away from home and it's not far to travel, doubt it will make any difference... Would be an empty looking bowl which has been no advantage to the first team.

Thanks Brady, brilliant deal, it’s as if the owners couldn’t give a fuck about cup competitions and a disgraceful way to reward the U21s for doing so well. Honestly where’s the fucking encouragement?

Turns out we asked for it to be switched.
Embarrassing
Embarrassing, but very "next level".
My glass is half full on this because as much as I’d like it to be a home fixture one of my customers sponsors Wimbledon so has a “ box “ there which I’m sure I can use

Are tickets on sale at Wimbledon?
Not yet but the fixture is listed as a mens first team away game at rush green.

Think all the PL U21 sides have to play away in the group games but I thought the knock out rounds were different. Regionalised until the next round.
3 games from Wembley this is worth putting some investment behind..............

Re: EFL Trophy | U21s away at Colchester | 7.45pm | Sky Sports +
The contract we have for the use of our "home" is ridiculous.
You would have thought that the LDDC would jump on any chance whatsoever to earn a little extra back for the taxpayer, but, no, they seem to still be led by the original Olympic "legacy" requirement and despise any additional use at the stadium for football.
50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Unless you're a civil servant, when it's not your money at stake.

The Premier league u21’s have played away in every game I understood
We may have been drawn out first but presume that would continue
Though also understand we are restricted as to how many games we can play at London Stadium which I think means the women don’t move games there like Arsenal & Tottenham do at their homes
Plus Aaron Cresswell should have had a testimonial after 11 years service.

Having been drawn at home in the last 16 against wimbledon, their website has this as being played at Rush Green.
How embarrassing for the club that whilst the matches will be on the telly and at the other 7 clubs will be hosting at their main ground, we will be hosting a team, who are currently flying high in league 1, in what is no more than a poor non league (step 4/5 county league) facility.
stick it on at the bowl and let season ticket holders in for (next to) nothing.
My money will be on us conceeding home advantage like Aldershot and Farnborough 30 years ago

Decent performance without being overly exciting.
Good performance from Earthy but the GK Herrick was the stand out for me as he made a number of saves in the second half to keep us in the game, including a double save for the penalty.
A little disappointed in Kante - was expecting him to run the show last night and he showed some flashes but maybe tried a bit too hard and often gave the ball away.
He gives the ball away a lot in bad positions every time I've seen him, has a lot of good attributes though and is still young

Not only did Earthy look good like he can do, so did young Herrick for me and not just his impressive double save for the Penalty either - although the way he still managed to get a foot in to block the rebound on to the crossbar..
Hes's even got a bark in him too. One to watch, maybe.

Amyone who doesn't care about the youth set up at West Ham is either not a West Ham fan or has no earthly understanding about the ethos and history of our club and should be utterly ashamed.
But then we all know Sad Ferret is yet another Spurs troll and should get its account disabled.

Great result for the U21's into the last 16. Seems like Earthy had a great game from reading the involvement he had on the Colchester website. We also got away with a giving away a 94th min pen... let off for the youngsters that.

Re: EFL Trophy | U21s away at Colchester | 7.45pm | Sky Sports +
Earthy has the best chance of breaking into the first 11 from what I’ve seen. He was imo ahead of Potts before last season when both went out on loan but injuries have slowed his progress. Hopefully he can svoid them going forward and get some minutes under Nuno.
