PL Games - 13th, 14th & 15th December
Saturday, 13 December 2025 15:00
Chelsea v Everton
Venue: Stamford Bridge
League Positions: 4 v 12
Current Forms: 17 v 36
League positions & current forms in opposition. I think home advantage will tell.
Prediction: Home Win
Saturday, 13 December 2025 15:00
Liverpool v Brighton & Hove Albion
Venue: Anfield
League Positions: 9 v 6
Current Forms: 18 v 21
As in the above game, league positions & current forms in opposition. Liverpool, however will..., OK, should, be buoyed by their victory in Europe this week.
Prediction: Home Win
Saturday, 13 December 2025 17:30
Burnley v Fulham
Venue: Turf Moor
League Positions: 19 v 15
Current Forms: 0 v 15
Battle of the anti-giants, this one. All stats point to an easy Fulham win, but since when have stats ever kicked a pig's bladder around the park? Home advantage should tell, but,
Prediction: Draw
Saturday, 13 December 2025 20:00
Arsenal v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Venue: Emirates Stadium
League Positions: 1 v 20
Current Forms: 22 v 0
If ever a team in dire need of some points chose a game to avoid this weekend, then this would be that game. Arsenal will be buzzing and if they are wearing their scoring boots could go on a rampage.
Prediction: Home Win
Sunday, 14 December 2025 14:00
Crystal Palace v Manchester City
Venue: Selhurst Park
League Positions: 7 v 2
Current Forms: 34 v 39
City, off the back of an excellent result in Europe, will be looking to carry that away form into this game. Palace will certainly stretch their defence with their style of play, but, I believe, City will prevail.
Prediction: Away Win
Sunday, 14 December 2025 14:00
Nottingham Forest v Tottenham Hotspur
Venue: City Ground
League Positions: 17 v 10
Current Forms: 21 v 20
With almost identical current forms and both teams having won in Europe this week, this is quite a difficult one to call. A little voice inside my head says, amongst many other things, Spurs will bag the points, but I'm not getting of this fence for nobody.
Prediction: Draw
Sunday, 14 December 2025 14:00
Sunderland v Newcastle United
Venue: Stadium of Light
League Positions: 8 v 11
Current Forms: 14 v 34
Well! I recall the days when such a game used to be an absolute banger, every time (and guaranteed to be the first shown on Match of the Day). Only 3 places separate these two in the table, but the Bar Code's current form on the back of their European performance this week should be enough.
Prediction: Away Win
Sunday, 14 December 2025 14:00
West Ham United v Aston Villa
Venue: The London Stadium
League Positions: 18 v 3
Current Forms: 14 v 45
Ahh! You know we want to, and not just to honour the memory of the great Sir Bill. Villa, though, are absolutely roaring; away win in Europe and maximum score on current form (over the last 5 games). Sadly, with all the love and emotion that the crowd can deliver, this will not be our day. Football is a hard mistress.
Prediction: Away Win
Sunday, 14 December 2025 16:30
Brentford v Leeds United
Venue: Brentford Community Stadium
League Positions: 14 v 16
Current Forms: 12 v 17
Not sure I can be that bothered now, after what I wrote about our game, but, stats are similar, league positions similar. High probability of a draw but I'm playing the home advantage card.
Prediction: Home Win
Monday, 15 December 2025 20:00
Manchester United v A. F. C. Bournemouth
Venue: Old Trafford
League Positions: 5 v 13
Current Forms: 29 v 7
The Red Devils, to my immense chagrin, seem to have found their mojo, while Bournemouth still seem to be searching for theirs. The media will rejoice, even if no one who actually matters (me) does.

I feel dirty saying this but would like the Mancs to win. Bournemouth although some 7 points ahead have been sliding down the table. Need as many of the immediate teams above us as possible to keep losing as many games as possible.

Amazing what happens when you sling crosses into the box and you have 2 players attacking it

It feels a bit like that year under Redknapp (96/97?) where it was really touch and go but there were a whole lot of youngsters in the pipeline. If only we can hold it together this season and offload the Paqueta's and Fulkrug's and start building with all the young'uns a big uptick might be coming.
and just like 96/97 we need an inspired January window (although there were no windows then) where the club pushed the boat out and signed Hartson and Kitson. Was at debut games where both scored 4-3 against Spurs. What a game and what a turn around in a season we could up until then barely buy a goal in. The rest was history as we went on to have a decent few seasons after that a built one of the best young squads in the PL, until next we fucked it up.

Re: PL Games - 13th, 14th & 15th December
Probably dont feel like it but yeah draw was best result for Brentford / Leeds. Its gonna take at least 3 or 4 wins in the games following City just to get back in touch with the teams above with the exception of Leeds hopefully but they are playing better too. Sullivan to blame for believing he won the Euro trophy and his job was done. This moment we are in is the result of his, Brady and owners incompetence, arrogance and ignorance in just about every football matter you can think of.
The cracks in the squad started appearing under Moyes in the second half of the 2021/22 season and were never addressed properly and competently. The loss of Rice caused the wheels to start really coming off but Sullivsn and may others were all led into complacency when tge club dined out on winning a 3rd tier European trophy after a 43 year wait.
The glour of hope is that Nuno, while undoubtedly not perfect, is the first manager who I think has “stemmed the bleeding”. The patient is still bedridden and weak and needs more work ( Eg Jan window)

Think draw was a good result there with Leeds and the Bees. Think Brentford are a bit of a one trick pony. They will be in the relegation mix

We’ll have an easier run of games after man city and we desperately need to string 2 or 3 wins together to get ourselves back in the pack. If we don’t get at least 4 points in the next 3 (well next two home games) I’ll be worried. The good news is the performance today and other recent games suggested we should do do just that.

Fantastic trivial pursuit question 1 day. The answer should be scored by jammy north London shitcunts who eventually still bottled the League anyway the same season.

Arsenal were absolute shit.
Can’t see them winning the league.
