Yep, Canada beckons. There are also a few lesser US leagues, including an indoor/arena version.
Plus you can end up on NFL practice squads.
So there are options. But there’s not a huge amount of depth once you don’t make it. Hence, Nutsin tells his sons to focus on graduating, too. It’s sage advice.

Genuine question, once players finish college/ university and are not drafted do they basically get a job and then play “amateur” football, like we have a pyramid of football (our football) where a person can play all the way down to Saturday/ Sunday pub football. I ask because I once heard that once college/ university is over then unless your drafted then that’s the end of any type of games.

Draft-wise, despite Mendoza being the obvious #1 pick, all eyes are on Dante Moore to see if he declares for the 2026 draft. If he does, then you could make a good argument for the Jets NOT trading up to #1 and just doing what it takes to land Moore as the 2nd QB off the board. We currently hold the #4 pick, so he may even fall to us anyway.
It would leave us with four other 1st rounders over two years - including another next year.
Everybody assumes the Jets sold he family silverware to land Mendoza. That may be the case. But if the price is too high, then Moore - a Jayden Daniels-type QB (everything to prove, obvs) - looks like a good second option.

Another hiding for the Jets last night - this time from the Saints.
Just two games left before the even bigger drama - of whether we trade up for the #1 pick and Mendoza - unfolds over several months.
Before that, though, some big dilemmas over what to do with the coaching staff. At the very least, they need to sack the QB coach and bring in somebody that Mendoza, Moore or Simpson will want to work with.
But Glenn himself is possibly on the chopping block. He had not improved this team or franchise at all since coming in. There’s a lot of puffwaffle being talked - and absolutely zero delivery.

My youngest is still in high school he has another year to go but he has UCLA looking at him, they saw his film and called him in to take his measurements and introduced him to the facility, coaches and players and have requested his high school transcripts. So we’ll see what happens but both of my boys can play the game.
With a bit of luck they’ll do well in college and get drafted by the Niners. Stranger things have happened.

So I have just returned from Dallas we were on an official visit (my eldest and I) with East Texas A&M college football. They made my Son an offer to entice him to go play college football there. They offered him a full ride and $22 k per year.
However he was also offered by Norfolk state Michael Vick is the head coach, he visited them in Virginia last week and Idaho state at the beginning of this week.All division 1 programmes.
After careful consideration my son chose Idaho state today. He committed. He heads out Jan 9th to start his collegiate football career and more importantly works on getting his degree.
So happy for my boy, he worked his arse off and he fucking did it.
Such an experience getting courted by these colleges, they go all out to get you to commit. Definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

You've nailed it: that's exactly what happens. He often starts OK, and looks like the QB Miami thought he would be. Then, invariably, something happens to put him off his stride and, thankfully for all New York Jets fans, he loses confidence then falls apart.

Watching last night game. Miami issue ain’t going forward. It was the secondary. Some of us could have run Pittsburgh points in. But it’s that time of the season. If you ain’t got any skin in the game. You are sure as shit. Ain’t putting the rest of your body on the line.!

The really annoying thing about Tua is that he can be good.

Also, on the point about betting, while it's definitely a possibility you can't rule out in the modern world, there would have to have been heavy collusion by a lot of senior staff - making it less likely in those particular circumstances.
For that to have been a betting ruse, the HC, OC and QB would most likely all have to be in on it. Or one of them would be asking why the feck they're not playing quicker.
