Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Well seems like with all these international breaks, and us languishing, the rumours of ins and outs are rife.
Chuck anything 'worthy' of discussion on this thread...

Not sure we shouldnt be concentrating on getting a centre back tbh. We're awful at the back. Its cost us a few times, Bournemouth, Brighton and Villa. We scored but couldn't defend our lead.Stirling 10x Summerville? don't think so mate
Summerville is gonna shine next season.... because we will be in the championship

Isak injured, now they are planning on buying Semenyo....
Just imaging we having owners interested in investing to keep the squad up to standards.
Fuck Off Sullivan

I’d love to have seen a front 4 of Summerville, Bowen, Wilson and Fullkrug. That’s because you’re an idiot.Oh no I’m so upset.

Yea, just the 120 odd Premier league goals and 20 odd champions league goals. Summerville won't get near that in the championship. That said he clearly isn't at that level now.

Shows why none of them got far in coaching.
Anyone who thinks that a front 4 of Summerville, Bowen, Wilson and Fullkrug would provide us with anything but massive defeats every single game probably hasn't watched much football this century.

Thing that concerns with Strand Larsen is he looks like another lanky lummox who can't run.
Yes, we need a presence up top, but we also need some pace that actually produces something at the end of it - Summerville is an impact sub, not a guaranteed starter.

But the little narcissist wont. He is terrified of seeing hundreds of millions wiped off the value of his “golden goose” asset and will go for experience as he always has which means older players, little to no resale value, high wages, slow and lumbering etc. Sullivan is desperate and unable to face reality
I can smell Raheem Stirling on loan. A good enough player in his pomp but that will be the razzle dazzle of January 2026.
He probably won't be in any reasonable condition to contribute much until it's far too late but when has that ever mattered? There will be plenty of blind optimists on here thinking it's a bargain just like all the other ones.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
It doesn't have to be one extreme of winning to the other. Just not go for players who have lost 15 out of 17 games and won 0 as Wolves have, or lost 30 out of 38 with only 2 wins all season long like Southampton did. That kind of habit is extremely difficult to break especially so soon after it's haplened. Should be avoided at all costs. Yet we never, ever learn our lessons the hard way. Thick as fuck management but sadly used to it.

I guess it’s unlikely you are going to attract Premier league players from clubs that are winning all the time
That said I agree that as a club of losers we need some with a history of winning. Starting with the chairman & manager.
I think Fernandes is a very talented player & a very good buy
KWP on a free as a solid back up was a no brainer
Hermandsen has been a disaster so far & we had to bring back Fabianski when he should have been given another year in the first place
Wolves may have given up by Dec 31 so Strand Larsen is doable
Wouldn’t be against it … he scored twice against us in a short period of course
Newcastle wanted him when Isak went so may also be interested

It's not so much about the players being god awful, it's more about the timing we decide to go for them at their absolute worst with their mindset programmed to defeat after defeat after defeat. A losers syndrome that most players, regardless of how good they are, would find difficult to shake off. Fernandes has been no different and it shows, just like it has with Hermansen and Walker-Peters. Strand Larsen I actually like but right now after the PTSD he's likely suffering from in Wolves inevitable relegation to jump in to our relegation scrap, is very risky. Not saying it couldn't work but why take the risk if you can get in someone right now up for the fight who isn't anywhere near as mentally scarred as him..

Yep, we raided Southampton and Leicester thinking we were being clever. Yet when you think about it, they're used to losing on a big scale and will find it hard to shake that mentality. So what would the Club do? Go for yet another one but this time up front.

We're, not in a great bargaining position though, he's no use to us and we need his wages or part of for a new striker.. They have us over a barrel
