Well in the post-Christmas haze, we gear up for a game that is absolutely massive.

The first of a run of 6 matches that will determine if we're in the fight to stay up, or prepping for the Championship, West Ham host Fulham in what really is a must win.

Whilst the visitors have had a poor start to the season, they're an established side that know what they're doing, have a manager who has firmly embedded his way of playing on the Club with an enviable attacking outlook, and they played us off the park in recent times.

West Ham no longer have Fullkrug for a selection option with his deal to Milan sewn up. Diouf and Wan Bissaka remains away at AFCON, but other than that there are no lingering injuries or selection issues, although Scarles was withdrawn in precaution in the last game.

Predicted LineUp.
Areola

KWP. Mavropanos. Todibo. Scarles

Magassa

Fernandes.  Paqueta

Bowen.           Wilson.       Summerville
Subs:Hermansen, Myers, Kilman, Potts, Rodriguez, Irving, Soucek, Earthy, Marshall

Predicted Result:

West Ham 2 - 1 Fulham
(Bowen, Paqueta pen)

A win feels a long time ago, and I don't expect this to be a pretty performance but more in hope than expectation think we'll scrape this over the line....more because of how desperately we need it.

COYI.

To be fair against a much better team in Villa we started off set up the same and created enough and scored twice... So hopefully we can put in a similar performance but take the points this time.

French won’t work for me either. I will try UK sites and see how I get on with the geofencing stuff. I find BBC does not work, but not sure if it’s on anyway. Was hoping for a sure option to make it easy.

Things that are guaranteed -

1) Fulham fans sing “ sold your souls for this shit hole “

2 ) Win, lose or draw Nuno will still get hammered.

Twist or stick with the manager?. If we dont see any wins in the next few then no choice but twist on the basis that you’d always say “what if” but its all desperate stuff. The root problem is the cummulative effect of disasterous, incompetent, aimless recruitment where we have limped along with a slow aging squad for too long only left it too late to wake up and start recruiting younger players. Tye complete absence of any long term plan in the last 15 years, other than trying to increase the share value for the owners, means its literally been an unconnected, “Frankenstein’s monster” of a squad where 5-10 people have identified and picked players. Like puttng a car together from different manufactures parts and wondering why its last in the race.

No striker at home against Fulham. If true, he should be sacked immediately. No doubt Nuno still thinks a draw is a good result. It fucking well isn't. We need 9 wins from 19 games to stand a chance and there's fuck all chance of that happening as we will throw the games v Spurs, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Arsenal and probably Sunderland which means we need to win every other game. As I said no chance, unfortunately.

Unchanged? So no striker on the pitch in a home game against a bearable opposition.

That would sum up the Portuguese bus parker negative Nuno to a tee.

Read that we're going to be unchanged, I don't have a problem with that If we play how we did in the second half spell against City before they scored their third, if we start off as we did it's fucking shit.

Yep, thanks to Crackhead our goal difference has worsened to around double it was before he arrived. It effectively means it's another point on the board we have to overcome, as he isn't going to claw that back easily especially with his overly defensive tactics - that still concede 3 goals a game in the previous 2 anyway.
sir Alf is the one that keeps talking about management change. I want a change of approach/philosophy, it's the manager that will get himself sacked. not that it seems to bother him, as he always looks like he has another project/potential pay off lined up

If this remains the trend it's likely to continue in then we are heading for certain relegation. So yes making a change soon could well be the better choice if we have any desire to remain in the Prem.
