Got Chelsea back in the top 4 Champions League football, won a Cup all in his 1st season in charge and also in his 1st season in charge at Leicester got them promoted at the first time of asking in style. He gets his Teams scoring goals too. He's a quality young manager.Def a good manager. But also benefited hugely from Cole Palmer turning out to be so good.
Heard the same bollocks about Payet. More to management in the Premier League than to reduce it to 1 player. It's obviously a benefit to have such quality players but there's more to games than just relying on them with so many factors to think about and manage. Potter at the same Club with an embarrassment of riches proved that and look where they finished under him in 11th. He did excellently at both Clubs in back to back seasons, regardless of who he had available, just as Leicester now continue to struggle back down in the Championship with better players/resources currently 12th.
As I said, he’s clearly a good manager. Would City be meeting with bad managers?
But I think Porch did wonders sorting out that mishmash of a squad from Potter and Maresca took over that version of Chelsea. Palmer has been so good that you have to think Guardialo’;s divorce fucked his brain. I dont think that has anything to do with Maresca. He has been fortunate to get those things.
Funny what you say about Payet. It’s like saying Barcelona was a 1 man team with Messi. No, but without Messi they dont have the edge that no other teams have. It’s the same with Payet and to a lesser extent Palmer. At this level there are a handful of magical players that are difference makers. Thats undeniable.

He’s a really good coach and already a good manager. Maresca will have a good managerial career.
It’s a shame he wasn’t available a few months back.
This is a mistake by Chelsea’s impatient owners. But we’ve seen that before.

If the medical staff tell you a player is concussed or has a certain grade of thigh injury the manager has to listen to them
If they say the player is a risk in the ‘Red zone’ of minutes played the manager should take that on board as advice but it’s his call.

Def a good manager. But also benefited hugely from Cole Palmer turning out to be so good. Also Porch sorted out a lot of issues before Maresca came in. And Leicester are a recent PL side which should have more resources than it’s competition in champsionship.
so I feel he is sort of right place right time as well.
Having said that, I don’t think he was sacked because he wasn’t good. Seems like it was mutual decision I.e. we disagree on how things are and you think u can do it without my input so goodbye.

As a manager should you be allowed to ignore the fitness data your fitness team gives you?
Yes. Who's the manager here, the Medical staff or the bloke who has to make all the managerial judgment calls with all the information available to them within the Club..
I dunno. There are managers that have ruined players careers by playing them when not 100% and overplaying them. On top of that these are club assets that have value beyond any particular managers spell at any one club. Especially a club like Chelsea that has a long term vision with DOF etc. I don’t think it makes that much sense tbh.

Or is that wishful thinking?Wishful thinking sadlyWhat has he actually achieved? Won an end of season competition and that’s that.
Well he won the conference league which is a massive achievement, or does that only count if it's Moyes or are the ones that said its massive now belittling it because its not us?
He also got Leicester promoted at a canter..

Re: Enzo Maresca expected to leave Chelsea today
Guardian reporting that Chelsea were pissed off with him trying to ignore rotation protocols for players. With some big injuries to players like Reece James etc. there were recommendations from the medical staff about resting players etc and he wanted to overrule them.

Re: Enzo Maresca expected to leave Chelsea today
The Staff we should have kept and were about as good as we could get at the highest level..
Now we have a homeless looking Crackhead and some clueless Coaches who are better suited at youth level.

Unfortunately everyone got too start somewhere. Having shown he is capable at the top end of the pyramid. He won’t be in no rush too rub shoulders with the bottom feeders anytime soon.
Re: Enzo Maresca expected to leave Chelsea today
Sounds like. The Shed End problem.? Maresca will go back to Serie A. Anyone who thinks he would come here. CLEARLY hasn’t been paying attention to our well oiled boardroom.!

Re: Enzo Maresca expected to leave Chelsea today
Well we're not going to get the next Sir Alex Ferguson, Maresca fits the bill for me but I feel even he would turn his nose up at the Hammers, and rightfully so because we're fucking shit.

Chelsea fans couldn't stand him and thought he was a fraud.
Yeah, let's get in a fourth former Chelsea loser to be our manager
