Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
In truth the so called international rules have been broken regularly over the years ignored by many countries in the west when they saw fit. Trump’s capturing of a tin pot dictator from a tin pot country is no big deal compared to the UK and France taking over the Suez Canal in 1956 and the he illegal invasion of Iraq in the Bush/Blair era.
Starmer referred to the restoration of democracy in Venezuela but that is not what the USA is after rather it wants a regime that is favourable to their long term interests. Be assured the USA has always had a fear of democracies within their sphere of influence.
The real problem that the other democracies of the world face is that certain leaders are feeling emboldened by the actions and words of the world’s most powerful democracy. I am confident that Trump will not get hold of Greenland but don’t be surprised if his ally in charge of Argentina gets more bullish about that county’s right to the Malvinas.

Of course, you, a self confessed rapist of impoverished, disabled, 3rd World children would conclude that.

There will be a bunch of liberals standing up in European parliaments bleating about how America and other nations should respect the 'rules based order' and 'international law' but offer nothing at all about how they will (or can) enforce international law.
And if you think things will go back to normal when Trump's mandate is over, you need to look at the polls for 2028 JD Vance v Newsom https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/ ... -vs-newsom
Even if Vance lost. China, India and Russia have abandoned the Rules based order long ago. You can't apply international law just to the West when everyone else ignores it.
The post-war rules based order is over. There is nothing anyone can do about that. We need to think about how we survive in that world and who we build alliances with and what we have to offer to any alliance.
Agree with you point about China,India and Russia but if you think Trump is going invade Greenland you're wrong because as thick as Trump is he knows that would finish him internationally and at home

Part of Trump & Putins deal
Putin gets the resources of Ukraine which they share with Trump & Trump gets Venezuela’s oil and then likely the resources of Greenland
The final part is Trump gets his Moscow hotel piss video back & Putin helps neutralise the Epstein evidence
Game over
And there's me thinking the conspiracy theorists loons were just the thicko naive right wing bible bashers

Meanwhile back in the UK the Palestinian embassy was opened. We now have a terrorist organisation set up in London with the government’s approval.

I'm no lefty, but Trump's behaviour is becoming very unhinged to me. It's concerning that he wants to annex a part of sovereign European territory. He's no better than Putin if he does.
Sovereign NATO territory at that.

I reckon they must be best mates away from here and have concocted a routine to see how much they can bore/ piss off the rest of us.
There can be no other explanation as to why two adults would keep this up day after day, going round in the same circles.
Would be so easy to ignore one another or communicate privately but they seem determined to play this nonsense out in full view of the rest of us.
Very fucking odd.Who said we was adults?

We will let you invade Ukraine & take their resources & you let us take Venezuela

If Trump's got any sense (which I seriously doubt) he'll do a "Hong Kong" on Greenland, leasing just enough to build a couple of fuck-off airfields and deep water harbours.
He knows money talks and will use that as a leverage.

Australia is fucked Sydney. Let in to many undesirables who jump up and down when an incident occurs in their mother country. You should have gone down and give them a good kicking.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
Made me laugh watching Aussie news and they covered some protesters at Sydney's Town Hall against the American strikes and abductions in Venezuela, strange thing was that most of them had keffiyeh's?
, I didn't realise that they wore these in Venezuela...................
They also had a counter protest that supported what occurred, so Police kept the 2 sides apart, these people were chanting in Spanish and had Venezuelan shirts and flags, none of which the other side had!!!Do these extreme lefties types realise how stupid they look by doing this?

No need to project the fact that you'd be shit scared living in such a volatile area. You should visit, find out for yourself what it's like rather than relying on the Daily Mail educating you. You may actually get to meet a real-life ladyboy, too. What's not to like?
My village is only 80 minutes drive from the (currently closed) Cambodian border and certainly well within range of their rockets. Ho-Hum, as they say.
None of their mine-laying teams have ventured this far yet, although there was a drone incident at the local airport the other night. Hasn't stopped the regular flights to/from Bangkok though, and the new airport terminal opens in about 6 weeks.
In fact, apart from a swathe of new buildings appearing, it's still as a peaceful place to be as it was the last time I was here.
Dodgy? Not a bit of it. Fun? 100%.
