I've barely got the energy to write this but it's the Cup...we'll inevitably not try very hard, but it's a somewhat welcome distraction.

They have a striker we were interested in...Richard Kone...who no doubt will upstage the 50m we have just spent.

Predicted Lineup:
T-Rex

KWP  Kilman   Mayers   Igor

Rodriguez  Magassa

Bowen   Taty    Sumerville

Pablo
Subs:  Areola, Scarles, Mavropanos, Potts, Irving, Paqueta, Soucek, Ajala, Landers.

Predicted Score: 1-1 (lose on pens)

This is the phase of the game where Potts needs to step up. The match is passing him by at the moment.

He’s young, but if he wants to step up, these are the phases where you have to impose yourself and dominate. It needn’t be physical, could be his passing/vision/work rate. But we need more from him in these moments.

If he sorts that, we have a player.

Not seen us with a front 2 before. It looks like a 4-4-2 out there at the moment.
Strange.

Both will learn and kick on...Magassa doesn't even have 50 first team games under his belt. Potts did well at Wycombe and Pompey but it's his first season as a regular starter with us

I really hope so. I just see the same issues I did with Benhrama. They didn’t adapt their game enough for the better league. Expected the same extra milliseconds, the same shitty keepers and defenders etc. PL is utter ruthless. Some of the best players in the world get humbled here. U really need to make the effort to upgrade your game.

But he hasn’t scored in the Premier League. This is the cup - against a Championship side.

He hasn’t scored in the Premier League for almost a year. And he has just one PL goal. He hasn’t exactly proved himself yet.

That's what we have been saying for some time now Southbank, we have a majority of championship players.

Funny enough, our board thought this was guaranteed European football 🤣

These younger lads look capable - the trouble is you need at least 150 games under yer belt before the potential starts to shine through. It's a catch 22 situation.

Summerville clearly at home at this level.

He is all over this right back. He’ll be a big asset in the Championship if he stays.

Tough, of course, but he’s got to step up in the Premier League.

Who would have thought we got a bit more offensive with a defender less. Now we need Kilman to get his head knocked properly

No spine or consistent structure to the team...once that gets nailed then everybody looks better especially somebody like AWB.

From game to game nobody really knows where they are.

Chaos is always the product of inconsistency or is it the other way around? Anyway, at some point the manager needs to just pick a best XI (ha!) and play them game after game to find something resembling a rhythm.
