Spurs vs West Ham. Who finds a win?

It may be "our" Cup Final, and "they don't care" but they'll hate this. West Ham win.

Well in what could be the last one of these for a while, we head to catchily names 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' this weekend for a clash between two sides who are, on form, pretty much the shittest in the league.

Thomas Frank, a manager that very few West Ham fans would have turned their nose up at any time post-Moyes is almost universally derided in North London, where his transformational overhaul at Spurs has seen them continue to concede just as many chances as they create (something Ange also managed), but has seen the frequency of those chances drop off a cliff.  Pretty it isn't.

Meanwhile at the toilet bowl, the saga involving Lucas Paqueta's desire to return to Brazil having been royally fucked over by English football in general, has once again reared it's ugly head...in some ways a refreshing distraction from the plight the Club is in, but in others, just another example of the disarray we find ourselves in.  It's also given the chance for the Club's most 'Senior Source' to start up with his social media 'reveals' again via the usual suspects (Whetstone/Ex/Gonzo/et al).

Take your pick what you believe, but he's either training on his own, gone on strike, nursing a back injury, or ready to stick one up the Cockerels.  Regardless it looks like he's off to Brazil in the not too distant future (frankly, who can blame him) and we'll now doubt 'soften the blow' with the exciting announcement of Adama Traore (Sullivan will need to spend the Paqueta dosh just to keep the lad in baby oil).

So back to this game. It's their dull, low block drudgery up against out dull, low block drudgery.  Maybe the new first team coach Paco Jemez can inspure Nuno to unshackle the beast, with tales of his relegation-cheating escapades at Rayo Vallecano (well, until they succombed in 2016). I doubt it though.  What is almost universally certain however, is that Spurs only fit-to-start frontman Kolo Muani will break his Spurs duck this weekend. Lump on!

Predicted line-up:

I expect Paqueta at best to be on the bench despite Nuno's protestations, meaning the decision will have to come down to whether to start both strikers, or stick one of the young CDMs in and push Fernandes higher up the pitch.  I suspect the latter.  The other decision...stick with T-Rex after a close-to-competent Cup performance, or welcome back Flapping Fonzi for some more 'punch their lights out' action.  My guess...the latter.
Areola

Wan Bissaka   Mavropanos   Todibo   Scarles

Soucek    Potts

Bowen        Fernandes     Summerville

Taty

Subs: Hermansen, KWP, Mayers, Casey, Magassa, Rodriguez, Kante, Irving & Pablo.
Predicted Score:

Well we have a bench full of negativity, a dug out lacking in adventure, and a team that barely limped past the might of QPR (in extra time no less).  They are drudgery personified.  But given our form predicting a 0:0 feels impossible.

Spurs 1 - 1 West Ham  (Kolo Muani, Soucek)

Hahaha I am sure you will!

If he's still around.

Which for the record I hope he is. We need all three of them.
And I hope this was a bit of a turning point for us if nothing else just in terms of luck.

Thought we looked half decent first half so much better when play positive and try to win. Second half was nervy as we typically let them back in.

Thought Soucek was very good for the majority.
Pablo? Fuck knows.

Summerville pulling his socks up or putting himself in the shop window?
Thought Mav and Todibo looked much better as well.

Still think it's too little too late. It's the hope that kills you

It was like they were doing their best to outdo the other by fucking it up. After a decent battling 1st half display in the 1st half from our players taking a deserved lead, he then predictably sat on it and let the players down by not freshening it up early in the 2nd half with fresh legs in the centre of the park. Potts should have come on to offer that but also up top by sending on Wilson to have more than just 2 minutes of Football to work wonders (which he somehow did anyway with extremely limited time given to him). Thankfully we could rely on the hapless Frank to help us out when we needed it most.
I think he has to accept that at his age his contribution will be from the bench, but we should absolutely give him 30+ minutes every week

Total myth he cannot start or last games. See Bournemouth, Newcastle, Burnley, Wolves. Just 2 minutes of injury time is a joke and disrespectful to what he can still offer.

I’m 100% with you on this
top class premier league striker
only draw back he’s had is last few seasons been injury prone but while not then play
e.g. Calvert-Lewin

The one good thing Nuno has managed to achieve whilst here is getting us to compete all over the pitch. Deserves a lot of credit for instilling that culture again.

A win is the most important thing so hopefully this is the start of something. First half we looked okay, second half not so much. I just wish we would go after teams more, we looked a much better side.

What did I say that was wrong? We're lucky he wasn't flogged when he had enough of being dicked about and still willing to play anyway regardless whilst he still is here for now.
Nothing 'wrong' at all, but you just keep saying it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again!

I know there was a bit of banter with the hearts v heads, but i just knew we were going to win today.  Thanks very much, boyles, for the easy money . . .

But i think i would have enjoyed it a little bit more if those subs had been made 10 minutes earlier,

Just watched a review of the game by Sky Sports News. The entire six or seven minutes was about Sp*rs' problems, their manager, their fans and how they played, and their problems. Neither Nuno or any of our players, or even the goalscorers  were mentioned, and the only reference to us was what a shit team we are (not the exact words used) and how sp*rs should be beating us.

Shut up moaning you cunts.

It was a good game of football,  we beat Tottenham AWAY and picked up 3 very important points.

Yeah,  it was a bit shy of quality but let's not be poncy about it.

And most importantly,  I won £150.

It's a good day.

Now fuck off.

It's hard to over think this stuff. All very sliding doors for me. In another universe, Scarles gets done for handball and they win. Just like has happened in several games this season, shit has gone against us. When I say "the stars aligned" it really does feel like that. Maybe I'm paranoid, but they really do go looking for things to fuck us. Even Wilsons goal they're looking for offside, from a fucking corner!! They are so blatant its laughable.

The thing that is clear that our squad at the moment doesnt give us much of an ability to change things if the other team does. Wilson is really our joker in the pack. I think thats how he'll be used, sparingly but decisively. Would have preferred him on earlier, but in reality he came on at the exact right time because we scored lol!

You win your a genius, you lose your an idiot. Thats football haha!
