Really enjoying watching Summerville. He’s like a little Jack Russell when he loses possession in the way he goes back after it. Really enjoying not having to watch Paqueta. I think his absence is party behind the more tenacious play we have been seeing.

fans were up for it. Quite a gut punch that third goal going in. But you could see it coming  for a while.
Enjoy the rest of the season. There will be moments like today where we impress but understand, we aren’t staying up. Sad thing is all that is good will want out or be sold off and we’ll be left with dross like kilman who we’ll have to pay the footballing knackers yard to come and take away.

Fancy substituting our most talented back in-form, goal-scoring Captain for a totally out of form new player who has a reputation for being a donkey that even Fulham didn't want. 😂

You know, we gave it a good old go. Half the people on here were expecting a 4 or 5 nil thrashing.

The most gutting, devastating part is losing Todibo for 3 games.

It isn't that we lost. Its the defeatist manner of how we lost and that it was avoidable IMO

Hopes raised and dashed cruelly. Its torture.

I'm broken  -  no more hope for me - just morbid curiosity as to how this plays out and how long we can string it out for.

4 Premier League games and neither of the new Strikers have a single goal or assist between them and they did not come cheap. Sure they work hard, but that's not enough. Unless they make goals, they should not be used ahead of a vastly experienced goalscorer who knows this League inside out. Even the Spurs game we had to rely on Wilson pulling it out of the bag somehow at the death to beat them with only a handful of minutes to achieve it. Kitson and Hartson they most definitely aint for all their running they do.
Sorry, you’re wrong on the forwards Massive. It’s no coincidence Summerville and Bowen have started scoring. Their endeavour is what has upticked our performances. The issue is what the idiot in the dugout instructs them to do.

I think the real elephant in the room was Paqueta out of the side. My take is to play Wilson up top supported by Summerville, Bowen and Fernandes. That I believe would be our best chance to get more points. Bringing these 2 new Forwards on fresh in the 2nd half would be the better way to go about it ans less pressure on them to deliver goals.

Devastating defeat make no mistake. We won’t get relegated today but this was a huge blow. Holding on to the lead or even a point would have been huge.

what we got was a massive kick in the nuts.

if you cannot keep clean sheets you have zero chance of staying up.

Our defence is weak but the keeper offers them no assurance from crosses. His positioning is poor and he can't dominate a penalty area and clear/catch high balls. Good shot stopper but a flapper. We look decent going forward now so for christ sake let's just do that for the rest of the season and hope we score more than we let in 7 times between now and May. Need to run Tatty and Pablo into the ground for at least 75 minutes a game.

We didn't surrender, some on here have clearly never kicked a football.

Our problem is keeping goals out not scoring them.
Been like it for 2 years at least, as soon as we're put under pressure we cave in.
You need to dig in at points during most games and weather the storm but we can't.

When we took it to Chelsea 1st half with less Defenders at the back, what was the scoreline at Half Time by being so positive?

Yeh because the other team and their manager are going to do nothing at HT and play exactly the same as they did in the first half and let us stroll about and score a couple more.
Which part of "they were all over us before we made the subs" are you not grasping?
Do people actually watch other games or play football these days? You need at least a 3 goal lead to feel confident, that applies to almost every team in the division if not all. The Champions League is the same now too.
Nuno or the players don't consciously decide to sit back, they are forced too, and when that happens you have to react by digging in, weathering the storm and trying to catch them on the counter so no point leaving 2 up top to press nobody, we aren't  going to outplay them at this point, so you try to beef up the defence and bring someone like Traore on and a poacher like Wilson on which is exactly what he did.

I know they don’t consciously sit back. If they overload then you need to cover them. The issue is that Nuno is reacting to a decision the opposition have made. Why doesn’t he proactively make a decision at 2-0 or 2-1 up that counters that teams decision? It’s a mentality thing. He could tell a DM to stay further up the pitch. It’s a simple tweak. Besides, how many points has he lost by trying to defend like that. He’s lost nearly every game that’s happened. It’s becoming a bit mental tbh.

"We should've kept the same idea as the first half"

Nuno Espirito Santo regrets his side's second-half performance

We were 1 point from safety when he took over, we are now 5 points from safety with only 14 games left with Forest having a game in-hand at Home against an out of form Palace side tomorrow.

Nuno has a good record and has turned us around to point.
However the squad is weak, we still can't defend and don't have enough of the type of players to suit his style.
I can see where he's going with the new signings but that same back 5 will relegate us.
We have 2 days left to address it or we are down.

Well... Still trying to take the positives..might now get a decent CB and a keeper who does not flap at everything in the box. Might be our saving grace
