"Very good advice from Alfs, but dont worry about little allies they will pick your wallet or bag, but will not confront you. For me the little allies in the Gothic area left of the Ramblas looking down to the sea is the best part of Barcelona have a wonder around there. If you find a little bar called the Xampanyet go in and have a glass of Cava and a cod (bacalhau) tapa. Also in that area have a beer sitting in the Plaza Real (Royal Plaza) and watch the stuff going on. Piccaso musium, if you like that. Calle de Ferran for Irish bars with the Premier League (good for Monday), across La Ramblas to Market Boqueria, watch you wallet, nice to see and good for lunch. You'll want to see the Gaudi stuff, Sagrada Familiar, houses (Casa La Pedrera and Casa Batll??) and Park G?ºell. If you want to go to any of them you should book tickets in advance, yes even the park!, today probably. Football, Barcelona play Getafe, Saturday 14:15. They are fixing up the Camp Nou and playing in the Olympic Stadium in Montju?Øc. It's a beauty, get up there early, buy a cheap beer from the Pakistanis and sit out front in the plaza on the steps, great atmosphere and views. The sea, if you like the beach go to the Barceloneta beach and area, north of there more beaches where they did the Olympic sailing (Americas cup this October) or south to Port Vell with aquarium, which if you like fish is worth a visit. Also lots of nice restaurants for lunch with a sea view i. those places. Getting around, if you want to avoid a lot of walking get the tourist buses, do all the sights and you can get on and off as much as you like."

I'm really not into churches and cathedrals but the Sagrada Familia is stunning. Don't think I have ever taken more photos in one location. You'll need to book in advance.

"I was over there when the 2019 rugby world cup was on as i remember watching a few games in an irish bar, i also rememember watching us lose to Palace as well, i think Haller scored with a sort of overhead kick. You can have those nuggets for free."

I've been twice. Last time was in November 2019 to see a Barcelona game (they won and Messi scored a hat trick). I was disappointed last time I went as it's proper grubby these days with Middle Eastern/ Arab gangs pushing drugs openly on Las Ramblas. Decadent times we live in.
