US Politics Thread

Post stubbo-admin »

Seems like the main politics thread is becoming a Yankee-Doodle Trump-fest, so maybe scope here to split them out.

Will see if this one gains any traction ..if it does will move over a few of the million posts from our two protagonists from the other thread.

Yee-haaa!

The world is definitely not a safer place right now.

Yes, Iran getting hold of nuclear weapons and severely degrading all their military capabilities is definitely not a safer place.

Putting the entire world economy at risk?
Isolating his own country to the point nobody aside from Israel is on his side?
enabling Putin?

America first has become America alone.

The world is definitely not a safer place right now.

Just remembered another important perceived petulant childish move he did that actually made the world a safer place had he not chucked his toys out of his pram and that was forcing NATO allies to cough up 5% of defence spending so to make those countries stronger against the likes of Putin. Fucking genius petulance if you ask me, when that move couldn't have been more needed now when first lobbing his rattle out his pram.

Was he a childish fucking idiot when he authorised the successful targetted topping of Major General Soleimani in his first term? Brokered the Abraham Accords? Oversaw preventing illegal immigrants from entering the country and significantly slowing the flow of drugs in to the Country? Or the successful capture of Maduro without a fuss? Or the Midnight Hammer operation to severely halt the production of Iranian Nuclear weapons, or indeed the assassination of 50 Iranian Commanders and Leaders so to significantly deplete Iran of producing WMD or those in power that know how to go about it all?

A list just off the top of my head, before chucking in many other good things he's done as a clueless petulant Leader.

Because to me those moves don't instantly scream of a childish idiot who had no idea what he is doing for the safety of everyone.

I'm in the camp of giving the benefit of doubt and keeping an open mind for now, as Trump has had successes in the past as President.
Trump lies all the time about everything and he just can't help himself though.
It goes beyond being economical with the truth and dessembling which is sadly normal in politics.
It is wilful denial of reality and tragic in a way as it is so obvious. He contradicts himself on a daily basis.
This is a deeply stupid war and all of Trump and mostly Netayahu's creation and the UK should have nothing to with their unplanned, reckless and lethal adventurism,

Let’s not sugar coat it - he lies. Time & time again.

This threat however is very clear. What he’s threatening to do is what the Russians have done to Ukraine.

His narcissism is at the cost of innocent people.

This aint no dig mate, so don't take it that way. Of all people, is it reasonable to hang on Trumps every word? Not even I would, who's someone that agrees with many things he does as President (not all). With Trump you have take with a pinch of salt and is often a tactic of his (rightly) to be unpredictable and confuse the opposition keeping them 2nd guessing all the while. One thing we can all agree on with Trump is that he is a lot of hot air and that is by design.

So now the big orange man-baby is threatening to obliterate irans energy infrastructure is they do not open the Strait of Hormuz within 48hrs.

Only a few days ago he said reopening the Strait would be an easy military operation and they didn’t need help. Now he’s shipping in troops and threatening international law.

Russia has outstanding warrants for doing exactly the same in Ukraine.

Oil markets should be a laugh when they reopen tomorrow evening.

Ok. I call that bluff and repeat, they're sending them same odds and sods drones out that would no doubt head towards neighbouring Gulf States. Smart move, Iran, please keep doing it as they are already severely pissed off with them as it is after only 3 weeks of doing it....... 💥 💥 💥 💥

They have managed to turn themselves in to the H&P of the Gulf in double quick time that very few, if any like now.

I watched Michael Lester who used to work for the pentagon being interviewed by Shawn Ryan former Navy SEAL , CIA contractor and gun loving republican.

What's that got to do with current reality of a decimated military and arsenal?
The US are running of weapons they cannot be replaced overnight and Iran make their own drones

We know that the missiles/drones have been almost wiped out along with many of their facilities as the US continue to bombard the same remaining facilities with ease and with little reply. The fact they can do whatever they like with impunity suggests that it isn't the US that are going to run out before Iran who have been reduced to scraps. And Iran should have the significant advantage of being able to defend their vast Country a lot better on their home soil than the US who have had to travel half way around the world to annihilate their capabilities in around 3 weeks.
