Ajax held firm so it didn't happen but i expect that set alarm bells ringing so they are maybe selling while they can get a good fee? Plus, it sounds like Ajax have just had a deal finalized, it maybe the replacement for Alveraz. As said Dortmund also keen and by all accounts if Chelsea can't get the bloke from Brighton, then it was back to Alverez. In Mexico he is nicknamed the Machine, they love nicknames for players!
