"T Mike: I.m bewitched by standing 6th in the league, a cup under our belts and still in Europe. It was a slap in the face to get Liverpool away after beating Arsenal in the cup. I do feel for those travelling supporters who trooped up to Anfield to see that dire performance. What I don’t want is a return to a team that entertained but did nothing except flirt with relegation. What we now need is some players coming in who can challenge for a place in the first 11 and who won’t diminish the team when they play. Getting Potts and Downes back might be a good shout in January. But we do need an injection of quality to improve our performances and provide Moyes with team selection headaches."

"he got slated because he threw a cup quarter final, a game where six thousand fans travelled up to that shithole five days before christmas. he then whined about fixture congestion while saying he only wants to work with a small squad. the only thing strange are you cunts that won't see the wood for the trees. it's like you're bewitched by the dinosaur bastard"

If we go with a front 3 of: Bowen Paqueta Kudus And if JWP is basically there for set pieces and work rate. With Alvarez being the ‘sitter’. Then surely we can use that final midfield position depending on the type of game. May actually mean resting and rotating Soucek. Definitely worth recalling Potts and Downes in January - getting rid of Fornals and Cornet.

"Moyes can’t win. Rest a few players midweek and he gets slated. If he doesn’t, he gets criticised for flogging the same 11. Yes, midweek was a disaster and unacceptable. Our problem is, our second tier players are Championship at best. Moyes is right to not trust Benrahmna, Fornals and the rest but he needs to use them with the congestion of fixtures. Everyone knows this but won’t accept reality. Yep, agree - performances need improving and this is what is Moyes’ undoing. Strange times at WH."

"Like many others have said , never thought we would be competing for 6th this far into the season . Always good to beat Man U , it’s fair to point out that this is a miserable Man U currently. Also fair to say we set up same as ever , keep it tight and play for the breaks . Paqueta going central changed the game . Zouma was magnificent today . Ward Prowse deliveries disappointing and too predictable. Soucek - an admirable battler , but a complete passenger today . Think it was 26 mins in when he got his first touch ( and bang on the cheek bone ) Kudus and Bowen - we are lucky to have them and long may that continue."

"So the Moyes in brigade like Capitol presumably think beating this absolutely shit Man Utd team who spent most of the game passing the ball back to their absolutely shit goalkeeper to waste time somehow vindicates the spineless pricks decision to throw the quarter final, and that our best players couldn’t have played in both games. Pleased with the win of course but consensus where I am in the ground was that the camel’s back has been broken, and Moyes can fuck off after Wednesday’s debacle."

The inclusion of Soufek has become farcical. I watched him again today and again he was a passenger. Fortunately United don’t play at pace so he did not flounder like he did Wednesday. I can only assume that Moyes likes the fact he he keeps in his position ( like a giant traffic cone ) and can get the odd header defensively. Get an all action replacement that is quick and good technically and we have to improve. Its going to be one of the worlds greatest unsolved mysteries to why Moyes picks him every match for 90 mins. He is toilet most games imo

"Let's be up front about this we were poor in the first half from around 15 minutes, got at them early and then lost momentum. The second was much better and we got on the front foot but this time kept the intensity, not taking anything away from the victory but as Simon says, see what I did there, Man I were back and once again when they went behind their oh so fantastic support went with them ."

"solid - agreed is someone had told me in the summer that we'd be beating man U to go 6th in the league at Christmas id have told them to put the bottle down. While Moyes is getting a lot right on paper, It IS a shame it comes at the expense of performances like the mid week horror show, but that is down to his insistence on persevering with some of the same 11 players every single game - something has to give once in a while. However, If we can get some quality in the door in Jan we can finish this season strongly."

"A dire first half, but much improved after the break, when we started chasing them a bit. A nice 3 points. Still, I suppose the whiners will be saying Man Utd are dross, that the subs came on too late and that the tactics were all wrong.. Amazing, that with wrong tactics, poor use of subs, and generally not having a clue, we are still in Europe, for the third season running, are sitting in a European place in league and have won a European trophy."

"A real tonic that, put a smile back on my chevy. Was always a who scored first won game, not a good performance but two good goals, we now have a couple of players who can change a game in a heartbeat, so always in a game more or less. That hasn't totally made up for Wednesday, but has to an extent. Special mention to Zouma who was a beast today. Will watch the Spuds game now, come on the toffees!"

Always nice to beat Man U and we’re currently up to 6th. But I’m still fucking angry from midweek which has taken the shine off this result. Beating Man U was and is personal for Moyes so he got what he wanted.
