Goal Music
Goal Music
"Apparently spreading through the Championship clubs. Currently used at Leicester, Norwich and QPR that I am aware of. They play a little tune each time the home team scores. Like in American basketball. Sends a shiver down my spine. You lot?"

Re: Goal Music
"Clubs that nowadays have joined in the trend of playing piped goal music, are following heavily the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic. Why would anyone sane do that?"

Re: Goal Music
These goal celebrations are enough without music for the team to dance to. Talking about celebrations. Those Leicester players celebrating in the Brum end is going to end badly one day.

Re: Goal Music
defjam: Same. I thought the atmosphere was pretty good for MLS.Probably as the stadium has a roof (still open air). Keeps the sound in.

Re: Goal Music
"They'd probably have that DJ who gets wheeled out before evening games dancing along to 'West Ham are Massive' whenever we score. Whichever musical number we went with, it would be a massive CRINGE. Let's not lower ourselves."
Re: Goal Music
BBondsBootlaces 5:15 - AG! I went to a home game there last year and saw that! The atmosphere wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be.

Portland Timbers have a lumberjack cut a slice of a log when they score. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhAnL9RimTI
Re: Goal Music
"I just had a quick Google to see what Leicester fans thought of it. ""I really like goal music, not so much the current one but did like both fire and chealsea dagger that we have had previously don't see a problem with it"" They deserve everything they get. Hope they don't come back up."

"They did try this at Upton Park back in 1999/00 for one game I believe. The void league Cup semi against Villa, more affectionately remembered as 'Mannygate'. Hopefully never again."

"On The Ball...sorry mate but the goal wasn't disallowed for absolutely nothing,VAR actually worked on this occasion The player who took the free kick hit the bar and the ball came back to him without touching anyone else,so quite rightly disallowed, unfortunately most people watching didn't spot this"

Re: Goal Music
"I can't stand it, the same as everyone else, but this last night at the Rennes game in the Europa League is brilliant. Slightly more brilliant as the goal would have got them through had it not been disallowed in the 101st minute for absolutely nothing! https://x.com/footballontnt/status/1735390973650149764?t=wvcaTBD4Q28SWItsUEAdzg&s=09 I don't think they'd dare with us. And if they did I think it'd get booed so loudly immediately that it wouldn't happen again, even in the same game."

Re: Goal Music
Apparently spreading through the Championship clubs? The ones that do it have been doing it for years haven't they? Clubs like Bolton (yes i know currently in L1 but you know what I mean) in particular have done it for ages. It's nothing new IIRC. It's a tin pot thing. I'm confident we'll never do it. Or we'd do it once and it would go down so badly with the crowd it would never happen again.
