Android Season Ticket Wallet Screwed

Post northbankboy68 »

Does anyone have any info about the bug affecting a number of Android season tickets on the Google wallet? I went to the ticket office before the Man U game and explained that my wallet is not updating. They said there is a known bug affecting Android phones and lots of fans are affected. They also said that IT support were working on a fix. Can still download the ticket from the eticketing page. Anyone know any more on this?

"Is it legit to take a photo on your phone of the paper ticket and use that to scan at the turnstiles, because I see quite a few people doing that?"

"Remove and re-add, same as when you give a mate your ticket. Just make sure you have the mail. Never worry the ticket office will print any ticket as long as you have a mail, plus it only takes 5-10 mins unlike the old shambles at the boleyn . I have 3 kids in my group so we'll trained in this and works well , but always check before the ground save hassle wifi or 4g is dreadful."

Same happened to me and i have an iphone not an Android phone. Didn't realise it hadn't updated until i got to the turn style and it didn't work. No idea if what OTB said about it still working is specific to Android phones but it 100% the Wolves ticket which was still showing in my apple wallet 100% wouldnt let me in for the Man U game. A helpful bloke at the turn style told me to remove it from my wallet which i did and then he had no idea how how to re-add it. I went to the ticket office and the queue was ridiculous so i went into my e-ticketing acunt and downloaded the ticket from the Manage Tickets section which worked but now i need to dig out the original ST email sent to me to re-add it

"I think to be able to reload you need to have removed it. But as I said, it works even when it's got the wrong game on it so I wouldn't be too concerned."

"Pretty similar to OTB, I just go to the original email and attempt to reload, it never actually does reload but for some unknown reason it updates the game on the app !"

"Stewards just seemed to stand there as well (of the small number that were there), didn't seem to have a clue how to help people. You'd think those allocated to work at the turnstile would have been provided with a bit of guidance on the issue."

"northbankboy I had an issue for the Wolves game as it hadn't updated and still showed the Palace game in my wallet, I spoke to the steward before I tried it and he was clueless so tapped it and it worked, it updated for the Man U game and was fine. Just checked it now, down to your post, and it's showing Brighton. It's either been sorted or I've just had a touch"

"Mine never updates anymore. It didn't update after the Newcastle game, then it updated to Forest AFTER the game had happened and it's been stuck on that fixture since. Tried the usual fixes like turning the phone off and on again, wiping knob across the screen etc. but nothing seems to make a difference. I just download the tickets now and print them off at work. Never once had an issue with paper tickets at the turnstile, saw loads having problems with their phones trying to get in before the Man Utd game though. Lots of people getting the hump behind them, ""Get a fucking move on you cunts!"" etc."

"Mine wasn't updating earlier in the season so I removed it and re-added it - that fixed it. A mate's was similar for the Man Utd game, but he was adamant that they still worked even when it says the wrong game - so he showed me and he was right. So you probably don't need to worry. I won't in future."
