Wouldn’t get too fixated with the Pellegrini episode - every club needs to develop and Moyes has been a valuable development that has provided us with a defensive shape and base. It isn’t much of a brainer though that we need to move on beyond that and Moyes isn’t going to offer that next step. The risk it will all go wrong is a basic given.

Moyes is very much from another era where the manager signed the players and had overall control of footballing maters. Will he / can he adapt to the brave new world ? He isn't progressive enough for a lot on here but he still has the nous to put the skids on a lot of the new kids on the block.
