Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
"Two away wins, against teams in the top 5. Three clean sheets in a row, 4 wins, a draw and a defeat out of 6 in December, 13 points out of 18 (all in the league). I'd imagine, we are towards the top of the points won in December table, but no any other manager has recorded 2 away wins at top 5 teams, in the month. Spurs and Arsenal's only home defeats in December were against us."

"""but what previous managers have provided in the main is an attacking intent and the development of young players mixed with some exciting purchases who get played in their natural positions and are encouraged to excel"" Is that a joke?"

"Alfs but what previous managers have provided in the main is an attacking intent and the development of young players mixed with some exciting purchases who get played in their natural positions and are encouraged to excel .... all the things Moyes doesn't. I don't recall any Manager bar Fat Sam that just sat back conceding 70% possession and hoped we could score on the counter, that was obstinate when picking teams - square pegs and Soucek (ok maybe Nolan was similar) he's just infuriating... If we had a squad that were limited in ability and that was the only way we could play - I could understand and appreciate it... but we have 3 of the best attacking midfielders in the league (inspite of Moyes) .... You think another manager couldn't harness those players and make us even better - because that is the frustration."

Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
"'playing pretty good stuff' Excellent bait for your fishing trip sir. However, I will certainly bite to get off my chest just how pathetic our manager is. After the Brighton game he actually said 'we need to hang on for a point here' no, no, no what you should have done, you cսnt, was change it tactically or by personnel to actually go out and fucking win the game. As in, what you're paid to do manage and win matches. I've only been to 2 away games this season, one was a nice boat trip down the Thames and the other in the scum ridden, rat infested, thieving toilet of the world. 5-0 and 5-1. No, he is a cսnt and should be sacked. Manager of the Month, oh, do fuck off. And breathe, wipe foam from mouth, put hook back in the water for someone else to bite."

Trunds.... I said on the Bagels match thread at half time that you wait this will end up like Ali v Foreman... and sure enough we did the ultimate Football Rope a dope and fucking hysterical it was... don't think anyone is suggesting it's Ali v Cleveland Williams...
Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
"Moyes league games in December include a 5-0 defeat a home draw against a team that had won 1 in eight before playing us. An away win away to an injury ravaged Spurs who we allowed shooting practice at our goal only for them to keep missing and we scored two fortunate goals of our own, we all loved it but it was hardly a managerial masterclass. A great win and performance against Wolves.. A very good 20 minute period against a poor Man U. A good win away to Arsenal. Hardly worthy of winning manager of the month it's decent but award winning when losing 5-0 to fucking Fulham... Nah never.. Mo Kudus on the other hand for player of the month. Definitely"

Matthew Holmes can't have been watching us this season if he thinks we've been playing pretty good stuff. Unless he's one of these on here who think we play football like Muhammad Ali boxed. *stifles laughter*

"I did see somewhere that we had the best festive season of any club, with ten points from 12, and people went crazy because we were shit in the second half against Brighton."
Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
"I've always thought that it was results that mattered, not entertainment value. And I'll say again, in the 50+ years I've supported this club, very few of them have served up entertaining, free flowing, attacking football."

"Matthew Holmes ""Playing pretty good stuff"" are you serious, have you watched the games it's crap.... we are no better than last season just luckier with some of the results."
Re: I Voted for Moyes in Manager of the Month
"Its practically the same setup with better players. Paq and Kudus get him out of jail weekly. Cant deny the results have been good this month, I guess the folk that just watch the score on the BBC are voting for Moyes. Anyone that's watched us will not, even wins are pretty miserable under this cսnt."

"It's like day and night compared to last season. I was pretty critical of him and his set up then. But now we're playing pretty good stuff. Still think we have recruitment (Timmy!) To thank for some of it but credit where its due , its pretty good right now and European football on the bounce is almost unprecedented. Sure they'll give hom another contract... maybe in May?"
